Resident Evil 3: Nemesis – Remake vs Original Comparison Video

Capcom announced yesterday the official remake for Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. And, as you may have expected, the first comparison video between the remake and the original versions has surfaced online.

This video compares the 3D models of the game’s main characters. Now obviously the Remake looks better, however it’s really cool comparing these two versions. In case you didn’t know, Resident Evil 3 originally came out twenty years ago, in 1999. As such, this comparison video showcases the graphical evolution of RE3.

Resident Evil 3 stars Jill Valentine as she escapes from a crumbling Raccoon City while being pursued by the unrelenting bioweapon Nemesis. Players can also participate in previously untold Umbrella experiments on the outskirts of Raccoon City in the included online asymmetrical multiplayer game Resident Evil Resistance, previously known as the working title Project Resistance.

The game will be using the RE Engine and will come out on April 3rd, 2020.

Enjoy!

  1. “As such, this comparison video showcases the graphical evolution of RE3.”

It also showcases the PC/SJW bulls**t they force in to games these days, because I guess a skirt just might offend someone’s tender feelings out there. Oh well, mods will easily slap the political correctness right off this thing.

    1. Or, they just went with a different look for this one. Not everything you disagree with has to be a SJW conspiracy bro. Capcom had some risque outfits and material in DMC V, right?

          1. weird, because this is what all those lesbian butch dyyykees look like in outer worlds and they are are lesbians. They seem to like each other.

          1. have you played the outer worlds? Most of the character are androgynous masculine women with short neon hair ugly butch faces having masculine roles. Is completely ridiculous.

That being said the idea of attracting more women in gaming has failed, most of them play mobile games. Also like i said to the other guy women are more free and more depressed than ever before.

Lets not kid around we know who is doing this, sex negative feminists and the goal is to ban anything attractive because it offends them, same way they banned grid girls.

          2. this game is developed by M-Two inc new studio located outside osaka founded by Former PlatinumGames CEO Tatsuya Minami little over year highly doubt they are sex negative feminists

          1. so they dont have to be women anymore and then they whine why the cat get a man, aka marry up and are constantly depressed.

      1. Capcom actually blows the competition out of the water with the good looking women department, not that there is major competition between western devs.

    2. There’s a rumor floating around that current day Jill Valentine could be transgender and later in the story it’ll revealed that she is in the process of growing a willy and taking over the world with the Tyrant thus causing a disasterous plot for RE8.

    3. I’m not familiar with the original RE but after some googling around it seems she’s not wearing any skirt in the first game. I didn’t know political correctness goes way back in 1996 but then she’s wearing some tight skin hugging BSAA suit.

    4. “It also showcases the PC/SJW bulls**t they force in to games these days, because I guess a skirt just might offend someone’s tender feelings out there.”

the game will feature classic outfits.
in my opinion though, her classic outfit was too out of place to take seriously.
the new serous outfits i’m digging more these days. better immersion.

    5. There’s a rumor floating around that current day Jill Valentine could be transgender and later in the story it’ll revealed that she is in the process of growing a willy and taking over thus causing a disasterous plot for RE8.

      1. Classic outfit isn’t even that good to begin with. I’m the first one to call feminist messaging, but the choice of outfit by Capcom isn’t one of them.

  2. The original looks better. <--- This comment is a dumb as the comparison itself. What a waste of processing power.

  3. While the visuals do offer an improvement the big difference is that animations have much better posture and weight to them, old stuff in games just looks so flimsy and floaty.

  4. 2019 – Resident Evil 2
    2020 – Resident Evil 3
    2021 – Resident Evil 4?

I want RE4 on next-gen ray tracing hardware (PC RTX, Xbox Scarlett DXR, PS5)

    1. I would like remakes of Devil May Cry, RE4 is already good enough with the texture mod (seriously, the game looks gorgeous).

  5. If that trailer is any indication of the changes they’ve made, then holy ***t, it could top REmake 2 easily…
