PvPvE Extraction Shooter, HUNGER, Gets New Gameplay Trailer

GOOD FUN CORPORATION has released a new trailer for its upcoming PvPvE extraction shooter, HUNGER. This trailer shows 12 minutes of gameplay footage from its pre-alpha version. So, if you are a fan of this genre, you should definitely check it out.

According to the devs, the game’s story will unfold through the high-stakes loop of a multiplayer extraction shooter. Players will progress from level 1 to 100 by completing quests, surviving Expeditions, and mastering a robust skill system that evolves with their choices.

The extraction loop will help you grow stronger and build your reputation. It will also give you access to advanced weapons, rare gear, bags, armor, cosmetics, ingredients, and other vital resources.

Players will also be able to choose a unique crafting or gathering profession. This will allow them to create valuable items – whether for personal use, to aid their friends, or to sell within the player-driven marketplace. Crafting will also add a layer of economic and strategic depth, rewarding specialization and community interdependence.

It’s also worth noting that the game won’t feature any wipe mechanics, which is typical of the extraction shooter genre. Instead, you will be able to keep your progress. This is a major feature IMO, as one of the things I hate about extraction shooters is the fact that you lose everything the moment you die.

As players progress, the endgame will also expand the core extraction loop with distinct PvP and PvE experiences. This will include dungeons, boss encounters, and intense PvP combat.

There is currently no specific ETA on when the game will come out. The devs claimed that the Early Access phase will begin in 2026. Other than that, though, we don’t have anything more to share about its release date.

Enjoy!
