It appears that the story trailer for the next Prince of Persia game, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, has been leaked online. Additionally, it appears that a free demo for it will become available on January 11th.
PlayStation Brasil was the one that leaked this trailer. However, Sony acted fast and took it down. So, sadly, the only version you can find now is the one below. We expect Ubisoft to officially release this trailer at TGA 2023.

In this game, players will assume the role of Sargon; a young warrior, and member of an elite group called The Immortals. So no, players will not control the prince. Instead, players will go to rescue Prince Ghassan, and explore Mount Qaf.
Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown lets players explore a handcrafted world at their own pace. Players will acquire new time powers, unlock unique abilities, and combine them in combat. The game will also have puzzles, secrets and side quests.
Ubisoft will release Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on January 18th, 2024.

the very OG game, the very first titles on playstation 1. Those were the days. I was running to the renting club to play the titles. Then I started pirating them on dvds. for $5 a pop.

The Warrior Within skin at the end is an absolute insult to this franchise.
The skin actually makes sense, because Warrior Within followed the early 00s trends (emo “culture”, heavy metal, etc), just like this new game is following the current trends (spiderverse visuals, hip-hop, etc). It’s hypocritical to criticize this game precisely because Warrior Within exists. Prince of Persia don’t need to follow trends to be relevant, this IP can be interesting by following it’s own aesthetic (the Arabian Nights), yet, here we are again

The insult remark pertains to the fact that Warrior Within was a great game which I enjoyed thoroughly at the time of release and years after.

A switch and bait, giving that new main char the same clothing as the prince of persia, even at the end you get a bonus so he has the ‘warrior within’ outfit.. I guess Ubi knew if they blackwashed the prince that nobody would play it, so they just made a new one instead, however you can clearly see what they actually wanted to do.. The fact that this will eventually come out is unnessacery use of manpower and resources imho. If they had just fully focused on the remake of prince of persia it probably would’ve come out Q1/Q2 of 2024. That Ubi thought we needed a game like this shows how little they know and understand their demographic let along those who appreciate the franchise.
They knew people would be mad if this character was actually the Prince, so they made him a glorified bodyguard (calling him a “immortal”, which is cool imo, a reference to bronze age Persia)… but he is wearing the Prince colors and aesthetics, lol Damage control, but the public got mad anyway

The gameplay looks fun, I am a huge fan of the metroidvania genre… but goddamn, the “prince” redesign looks so awful smh I will give the benefit of the doubt because the Sands of Time trilogy also had their own oddities, so it would be hypocritical to dismiss this game just because the “prince” looks like garbage + the hip-hop aesthetics, Warrior Within had a emo prince + heavy metal aesthetics and I loved it, so… yeah, can’t judge, maybe a hip-hop fan will enjoy this new game. And no wonder they are selling a Warrior Within reskin, these games are similar in many ways, how they sh*t all over the middle-eastern aesthetics in favor of a trend. Redesign the Prince similar to Rashid from Street Fighter, forget “modern” music and visuals in favor of the “Arabian Nights” style, that’s it, it’s not that hard
