Paradox Interactive and Obsidian Entertainment showcased 20 minutes of gameplay footage from the latest build of Pillars of Eternity during this year’s Gamescom. In this video, we get to see John Sawyer and Adam Brennecke playing the Backer Beta (that will be available to all backers with beta access on Steam on August 18th). Enjoy!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

God that looks amazing 🙂
Can’t wait! I’m not a fan of fighting system in games like this, but I always play on easy and I love to explore and talk to NPCs and learn about the story. This will be huge success amongst ID & BG fans.
The art style is so bland and ugly, I hope the game is very long to compensate.
That presenter/interviewer guy is obnoxious as shit. He should do sports events instead.
As for the gameplay, no surprises there, although LOL at Adam, he got raped by beetles, twice!!
