Grinding Gear Games has shared a gameplay trailer for the Early Access phase of Path of Exile 2, as well as its cinematic opening. The Early Access phase will begin on December 6th. And although the full game will be free to play, its Early Access build will cost you around 30 euros.
Path of Exile 2 will feature a massively improved engine for graphics and physics. And, as I’ve already said, it looks better than Diablo 4. Furthermore, the game will have 19 new ascendancy classes. These characters are a new set of Exiles who fall into the same class archetypes as those in the original game.
It’s also worth noting that Path of Exile 2 will no longer be an expansion of Path of Exile 1. Instead, Path of Exile 2 will be a new standalone game, with separate game balance, systems and future expansions. At least, though, your purchases will still be shared between both games.
PoE 2 will offer two control methods on PC. Players can use a traditional point-and-click system, or WADS controls. And, to be honest, I’m kind of interested to see how the WADS controls will be.
Finally, the game will support cross-play and cross-progression between consoles and PC. As such, you’ll be able to play with your friends, no matter the platform they game on.
Enjoy!

Wow a whole decade and it's finally coming out. Totally forgot about this franchise.
lfg!!!!
I'm excited, can't wait my ninjas!
Respect, They delayed the game a few weeks so that they could allow your old micro transaction purchases from PoE 1 to work in PoE 2, Are you listening AAA gaming studios?
This is how it's done!
Oh yeah? 30 euros to be a tester for a game that's free to play. Is that how it's done? Jesus Christ of Nazareth, man.
30 euros to be a tester for a game that's free to play? And to think I just started to get into this franchise. Well, good to know, I'm out.
I'll help you catch up here; they're F2P, it's very deep, very complex and rich in the endgame, they add tons of content and unique seasonal leagues for free and have for over a decade. But… they do admittedly expensive supporter packs for whales and seriously invested hardcore fans, which this game has plenty of because of the described reasons. That's always been the implicit agreement with the community. Paid EA is another excuse to get more funding, but oh well. Can't get into it for free? Yup, kinda ugly, but drop the whining and join back when it's final. It'll be free.
Whining? Is that what we're calling truth and Fuqeray these days? No wonder why this industry is Fuq'd, y'all will hold one accountable for this type of behavior but not the other. You are clearly looking for a neck and forth here, good luck with that one. 30 euros to be a tester, which will attract millions of "whales", AIN'T FREE TO PLAY! This is great flaw of you humans, biased where your bread is buttered. Y'all refusal to call out Fuqeray especially when it's with something you love, is why everything eventually end in sh*t. I'm whining he said. 😭🤣😂 "Nah, this type of behavior is only ok when it's something/someone I like" you're a clown.
I tried and you tripped over a word. Get a clue, you're barking at the wrong trees.
Looking forward to it
Looks better than Diablo 3 and 4 combined. Blizzard sucks a$$.
Paying 30 euro for a few months of early access and 30 euro of in game currency could be better. It could be free.
But comparing it to Diablo 4 where you have to pay 70+ euro without getting any in game currency and then getting bombarded with a constant spam of microtransactions, season passes and paid expansions.
D4 is truly dead.
I just think that casuals won't be able to be able to beat bosses and give up.
