Official gameplay trailer for Team Ninja’s new action game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

KOEI Tecmo and Team Ninja have released an official gameplay trailer for their upcoming story-driven action game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.

In this game, players will defeat deadly enemies to boost morale and awaken the power from within. Players will also overcome adversity through unique new strategies, including battle styles based on the “Five Phases”.

KOEI Tecmo plans to release this game in early 2023.

Enjoy!

  1. Looks cool af
dunno why people on this site hate souls like formula
    wtf do u want ?
back to sponge enemies and numbers on top of them each time u do some damage ?
    yikes

    1. My main issue with Dark Souls is that the singleplayer is very tied to multiplayer, mostly unhollow item farming from invasions which are essential for summoning phantoms.
Because it’s either that or grinding souls to level up against the stupidly overpowered bosses that insta kill you half the time and that’s just not enjoyable in the slightest.
It’s way less of a thing in Demon Souls and Dark Souls, but From doubled down hard on the multiplayer sh*t with Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3.

Sekiro and Nioh fixed that thankfully, and thus are much more enjoyable.

        1. Apparently, you can’t read or comprehend English.
I’m not interested in talking about reading attack patterns, I’m saying attack patterns should not exist in games.

    2. Personally i miss hack&slash like darksiders 1/2 or the original GoW games. Souls like if fine, but it’s getting bland just like the batman arkham combat style became bland (not that it’s THAT monotonous).

The industry really needs some innovation in combat altogether though…not that innovation is gonna happen anytime soon in AAA.

  2. The Nioh games have the best combat I’ve ever found. Also, one of the producers of Bloodborne, Masaaki Yamagiwa has joined Team Ninja and is heavily involved in this game. Apparently it is going to be less loot heavy, with weapons or items mainly coming from difficult enemies and bosses. As opposed to the perpetual wave of diablo style loot in Nioh. It’s looking solid.

Yeah, that’s a buy for me, that garbage loot system in Nioh was my main gripe with the series.
Really awful due to being RNG heavy and a pain in the a*s to manage with console controls.

It becomes trash management fro no reason other than a retarded dopamine hit every time you get a new trash item.
