IGN has shared a new gameplay video for the upcoming action RPG from the creators of Ori games, No Rest for the Wicked. And, from what we can see, No Rest for the Wicked appears to be a cool mix between Diablo 4 and Dark Souls.
From what we can see. the combat in this game will be deliberate and tactical with a health bar and stamina bar. This is a nice surprise as No Rest for the Wicked won’t feel like “another” Diablo or Path of Exile clone. No Rest for the Wicked will also have boss fights and a wide range of weapons. Each unique weapon will have different stats and enchantments to set them apart. Moreover, each weapon will have different runes which unlock combos.
The game will also have something inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. To be more precise, players will be able to cook food to heal themselves.
Another big difference between this game and most other action RPGs is the absence of mana. Instead, the game will have a Focus meter which increases as you do better in combat. Every class will also use Focus for their special abilities.
In short, No Rest for the Wicked appears to be a mix of Diablo/Path of Exile and Dark Souls. And, to be honest, I’m now looking forward to it.
Finally, although there is no ETA on when it will come out, Moon Studios will hold a gameplay showcase event on March 1st.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

I’m expecting quite a bit of Diablo 4 like games in the near future. It seems to be a big hit. A lot of Publishers will be lining up for the ‘me too’ train for $$$.
It’s funny what Developers come up with to heal yourself. Just got done with a replay of Rune. Chowed down on a whole lot of live lizards in that game. Tasty.
hit? wasnt it a flop as people stop caring.
I don’t keep up much with Diablo games but I do recall that Diablo 4 sold over 10 million units in the first 5 days of release and the last I read the revenue had exceeded 1 billion USD so that’s very successful imo. Certainly enough to cause publishers to get the scent of big money to be made and try to copy it as much as possible. Also, the game did set a record for Blizzard as the fastest selling game in their history.
Whether it died off quickly or not I don’t know.
apparently it did no one cares about it.
great the two games that ruined rpgs and turned them into grindfest repetitive game put together.
i like it, seems good
They shouldn’t have poison arpg genre with soulslike craps.
or diablo clones.
It’s Moon Studios, the makers of Ori, which is a good sign. It will be offline and it will become DRM-free on GOG.
