YouTube’s member ‘Rauf Zero’ has released a new video, showing off the amazing visuals of Slightly Mad Studios upcoming racer, Project CARS. Projet CARS looks beautiful and this video proves that the screenshots that have been released thus far are not bullshots. Oh, and I’ll be the first to say it: there are no real-time raindrops effects on the road when it’s raining. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future version. Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. This video is awesome!
That’s an understatement!
Lol,
It’s obvious the game must be running on a high end PC, with a titan card, and a +1000$ CPU.
How many gamers will play with the same visuals? 1-2% of PC gamers… all the others, will just play at high settings, 1080p and average quality for details, particles, etc.
you know your gfx cards very well..
I still have a diamond 3dfx sitting on a shelf, as a piece of museum,
I’ve surely installed, configured and bought more graphic cards since 1990 until today then you will ever see, if you live 10 thousand years, young boy.
Do you know how fantastic it was, to put that 3d accelerator adapter on the genesis/mega drive, and run the F1 game, with real polygons, for the first time in a game?
Have you ever heard of a geforce4600?
Have you played any games with sli. I mean the sli from 15 years ago, with the 3dfx cards…?
What is it that makes you fell so smart about graphic cards?
You have a windows shortcut for zoom on/off, when you watch your 10 hour pr0n mkv, with some special graphic settings?
Or maybe you are finalizing the mantle drivers, with your team…?
My apologies, genius.
Cool, it sounds like a great moment in your gaming history. No, I actually haven’t heard of that particular geforce configuration actually and I’ve read about how sli was used back then but I never owned a computer that old actually to know that…my oldest was like a 99′ desktop so I definitely wouldn’t have a clue for sure. It’s just that I’ve been reading a lot on gfx card and PC stuff etc. and I’ve gained more knowledge over time so I was just surprised at your guestimation of the specs. I was in no way mocking you or making an attempt you…that wasn’t sarcasm so sorry for the misunderstanding and if I insulted you. And no I have no such shortcut as I don’t watch pr0n nor do I wish to get involved with it. And my current computer is crap so no I have no chance of using any mantle drivers as it wouldn’t support them unfortunately. So you see…this was all a misunderstanding and you can calm down as I wasn’t attacking your pride and knowledge as a PC gamer and was only making an observation. OK?
A GTX 760 is already good enough for high to ultra settings, even before it’s actually been optimised for release.

It’s done on an i5 and a gtx 780 (not the ti version). Which means it will run fine on my 3 year old gtx 680 ($225) with i5-4670k ($189). Motherboard costs $100 Asrock Extreme4 z87, PSU $100 + case, $80 ram 8gb. i have plenty of HDD’s laying around.
Sounds like you’re exaggerating just a bit bro..
Run fine, only?
What’s the point of having the possibility of playing a game at ultra settings and 1600p, if we can only play it ‘fine’?
For 80$ you get standard 1600 ddr3. I have one of my computers with 16g of Geil ego corsa 2400, the difference on bandwidth compared to 1600 is just huge. How much for some good 2400 ddr3?
Also, why would I play at full HD only, if it is possible to play at 1600p or 1440p? You can add another 500$ for a nice fast 27″ that can do 1440p.
What I mean is everybody can run the game on their PC… but for the best experience, all the effects on, rain effects, asphalt reflections, particles, several layers of dust, damages, everything on max quality,at 1440p or 1600p, when the game is out, I will be curious to see what systems are needed.
And in 2014, if we play on PC just to be able to say that we don’t play on consoles, if that means playing at 1080p only and high settings, wouldn’t a ps4 be a good investment?
Diablo 3 evil edition on ps4 will be a great title to do some face2face comparisons with PCs,to see what PC settings equate the ps4 visuals.
Game runs ok and looks great on my single 1080p screen with single 680GTX. If anything this game is more CPU-intensive due to the dynamic tyre model physics and being able to have up to 64 AI opponents depending on track (at least for now).
As much as I’d love to have triple screens I don’t have the space for them and I’m hoping the Rift somewhat takes care of that.
Even if cheap gaming PC’s can’t max pCARS today, it’s still nice to know the graphics won’t be too dated in years to come when more and more PC’s are capable (people are still playing sims from ~2005). Should car manufacturers stop making fast/expensive cars because most people can’t afford to buy them new? Eventually they will be attainable in the used car market where more enthusiasts can enjoy them.
I’m only aware of SLI’d nVidia Titans being used at trade shows to show off Panasonic’s 4K TVs running pCARS.
It is still in alpha but games never improve before final release.
Impressive .
It is also in alpha! Such a terrible game for not being finished!
FPS Test gtx 760 ..
