SEGA and Sony have released new gameplay trailers for the new Virtua Fighter game and MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls. These are two of the most anticipated fighting games. So, make sure to watch them if you are a fan of the genre.
Virtua Fighter is in a very early development stage. In this video, we get to see some WIP gameplay footage that highlights its combat system. SEGA has promised to share more details at Tokyo Game Show 2025. However, it’s obvious that VF is nowhere close to completion. So, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon. My guess is that we’re looking at a 2027 game.
On the other hand, MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls is a new 4v4 tag team fighting game. In it, players will see the Marvel Universe in a brand-new way. The game features cool new versions of characters and stages, an exciting soundtrack, and awesome graphics. The controls are easy to learn, so even if this is your first fighting game, you can jump in and have fun. But if you’re an experienced player, there’s still a lot of depth and challenge to master.
The game will have iconic Marvel heroes and villains. The first characters we can see in the trailer are Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Ghost Rider. Each of them will have Arc’s unique twist on their character designs and gameplay styles.
Each character in MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls has their own special moves, from quick punches to big, cinematic Ultimate Skills. These moves are based on their powers from Marvel stories. The creators worked hard to make sure every hero and villain looks, moves, and feels new and different in this game.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

VF6 looks incredible.😍
It's shaping up to become my new favorite 3D fighting game ever, taking the crown of VF5.
I can't wait to see the new Pai, she was my go-to character!
Cool your t*ts, it's not even out yet. By now, you should know better than to ever hype up a game until it's actually in your hands.
TOKON beta only for PS5 is Sony money talking.
there will be a lot of shady practices and favoritism towards outdated PS5.
And I will not be surprised if there was a EXCLUSIVE character for PS5, or some other bull crap for PS5 version.
I'm worried the game will launch with 16 characters, especially with Beta in September, no new character trailers and launch window in February 2026
I don't know where you´re getting any of this. PS only betas is just a japanese thing and has nothing to do with Sony money or exclusive treatment, It happend with Strive too. Nioh per example is another JP franchise that always had exclusive PS betas inclusive the upcoming Nioh 3, yet it will be their first game to launch on PC simultaneously.
I also don't know why you think the launch window is February 2026, specially with the beta so close to it, also no way it will launch with a roster size of 16, specially when DBFZ that was a 3×3 had 24. Hell even Strive a 1×1 game had 15 at launch.
