Ubisoft has released a new 20-minute gameplay video for Assassin’s Creed Shadows that shows off the stealth and combat abilities of Naoe and Yasuke. This will give you a pretty good idea of how different these two characters will play. So, make sure to watch it if you are interested in this new AC game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in 16th-century Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama era. In this game, you will live the intertwined stories of Naoe and Yasuke. Against the backdrop of the turbulent late Sengoku period, this duo will discover their common destiny as they usher in a new era for Japan.
The game promises to have spectacular castle towns, bustling ports, peaceful shrines, and pastoral landscapes. Ubisoft also claims that AC: Shadows will have unpredictable weather, changing seasons, and reactive environments.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be powered by the latest version of the Anvil Engine. The game will have dynamic seasons and weather, aiming to change the landscape and your strategy. It will also have destructible environments, as well as dynamic wind and environmental particles.
On PC, players can expect support for DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1 and XeSS 2 at launch. There will also be a built-in benchmark tool to test your PC. Plus, the game will support ultra-wide monitors.
From a technical viewpoint, I’m curious to see what this new AC game will bring to the table. For this title, Ubisoft has partnered with Intel. So, in theory, we can expect good CPU scaling across various CPUs.
Let’s also hope that the game won’t suffer from any stutters. All the previous AC games had traversal stutters. To its credit, Mirage did not have as many as Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla did.
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed: Shadows on PC on March 20th. As we’ve already reported, the game will also be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. You can also find its official PC system requirements here.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

I fancy a new Dues Ex game.
Forget about the conclusion of Adam Jensen's history and the connection with the first game we saw in Mankind Divided, it's canned.
i legit want to waterboard whoever came up with the armor=abilities and perks system in ubisoft. Anyway this does not look bad per say, it just feels like something that i have done so many times so i dont care about it. Do people not get tired of these games? Even the map design looks the same, same volumetric fog in the distance covering up whats in the distance as if this is a last gen game.
He broke a locked doorway to a fort by running at it and then gun down a dude….turns out yasuke simulator is entirely accurate.
Ubisoft graphics designers never fail, The worlds they create are spectacular in my opinion, Valhalla looked incredible but what an absolute bug fest it was, Never had a game freeze and crash so much.
I 100% completed it and in the 200+ hours I crashed over 100 times, No other game crashes and many others also having same issue.
Agree with you on the repetitive side of creed games but that's sort of to be expected.
Shadows needs to be crash free for a start, But I think they killed it going woke for a lot of players.
This one will need to be under 50% off for me to even look at it, Company needs to learn a lesson.
the graphics are the best thing about ubisoft by far, the rest is meh.
Crashing and trash performance is the benefits of the typical ubi 2-3+ layers of drm
The problem with Valhalla was they used a DX11 game engine that was kludged to work with DX12. This time they rewrote the game engine from scratch more or less to work with DX12. Also this is a different studio, the ones that did Odyssey and Immortals Fenyx Rising. They also did the Kassandra add-on to Vallhalla which was the only part of the game I never had a crash in.
We all know what aspects are wrong with Ubi games, but don't let that hate seep into every other aspect. Ubisoft devs are very good at Map/world design and graphics (graphics — performance ratio too. Look at the Avatar game). Which is also the reason why I'd play some ubi games despite it being so bad.
Im still amazed how big and immersive Ghost recon Wildlands world is, with 3 different biomes. Ubi was at peak during that era, ubislop started from there onwards 😔.
And ofcourse every AC game graphics will look similar in characteristics because its made with the same AnvilNext engine. Obvious. Like every UE5 game has that ue5 look vibes as Digital Foundry can notice it so quickly.
I just started Ghost of Tsushima on pc, Very impressed so far and I don't see much hope for Shadows now.
I predict 50% off sale for Shadows in under 6 months.
and then you got rise of the ronin, why play this?
Hate the rpg mechanics, like the gore. I'll wait for release.
6 5 big black 'samurai' doing stealth in feudal era will always be funny to me. What a wasted opportunity. Just keep the game Naoe only, it would still be better this trash.
Edit: wrong era
Yeah and the samurai armor that wasn't designed with stealth in mind either – Also quite sure a black man in Japan during that era would not stick out like a sour thumb either…
"everyone speaks their own native language" So what about the n1gga, does he speak nihongo as well or n1ggango?
To hell with all this Woke / DEI trash. Disgusting as Hell, and it surely steer many to beome racists insteed!
Now we Finaly have Trump. Team Trump, to clean up this filthy abomination for a world!
"everyone speaks their own native language" So what about the ni**a, does he speak nihongo as well or niggango?
If we had this backlash two years ago, by now this din du and the old hag were long removed from the game and it could have turned into a proper samurai vs ninja game.
