Middle-earth: Shadow of War – New trailer spotlights examples of unique personal Orc stories

Warner Bros has released a new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War, spotlighting some examples of the unique personal stories that can be created through the expanded Nemesis System. In Shadow of War, players now have entirely new ways to experience the dynamic world, with more choices and opportunities than ever before due to addition of Orc Followers.

Whether spared, scarred, recruited or marked, every encounter will be remembered and help fuel the dynamics of society and conflict within Mordor, all brought to life through the innovative Nemesis System.

Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.

The game is currently planned for an October 10th release.

Enjoy!

    1. The stories are automatically generated during gameplay and affect your balance of in-game currency (Shadow Shekels), every month WB sends you a bill for the generated stories, if you don’t have enough Shadow Shekels to pay for them, a group of WB representatives will go your your house to rough you up, they also charge you ten dollars for the beating.

  1. Hey how about a post about that Orc Slayer DLC to help the family of one of the devs?
(He died of cancer and in buying the DLC 70% or the earnings go towards his family)

I know about the instance about paid DLC but, you know… >.<

      1. i had the general idea of what he was talking about, my grammar is far from good but his comment looked like it was written by someone with iq of a dog

    1. Yes, they could have made it worldwide, yes a gofundme or a shared profits with the family would’ve been nicer, yes, a char in the base game would’ve been cool, yes this is PR goldmine

      BUT.

It is also a nice gesture, credit where is due.
“PAID DLC BS”. They aren’t “charging for” it (as in they aren’t profiting for it).
It is a character that if you choose to buy, his family gets the money (or a part of it, cuz Steam gets a cut).

But f me I guess, expecting at the very least a tiny bit of empathy from this place is too much apparently.

    1. Like pretty much all Warner Bros games including Shadow of Mordor this game’s price will drop off a cliff soon after launch. So if it’s not totally ruined by micro-transactions then I’ll pick up the GOTY version for peanuts in a few months.

      1. if the game is designed with microtransactions in mind it will be ruined regardless, though this could be easily combated with a trainer (like i did with AC unity)
but then you’ll pretty much cut the game’s content short (and most of it’s content was basically repeatable $hit anyway)

but if you don’t mind poorly made, rushed out hot AAA garbage
        it will be about 5-9$ on G 2 A after 1-2 years (i bought unity for 9.60)
though honestly it wasn’t even worth that, maybe 5$ i’ed say.

        1. When I said “if it’s not totally ruined” I was referring to how much of a grindfest it’ll be to play. If the grind is too much for my liking then I simply won’t be buying it even when the GOTY version is available for peanuts.
