The team behind the best WiiU emulator, CEMU, has released a new version to its Patreon backers. This new version features better audio support, and below you can find videos showing Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario Bros U running at 60fps. In addition, you can also see The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD running almost perfectly with this new version of CEMU. Enjoy!

I’m guessing it will be out next week to the public. I’m still using 1.4.2 and was able to play mario maker until it got to a point where it was looking for typing input. My one criticism of this emu is so much of what it’s doing is black boxed. You can’t make any adjustments or plugins for graphics or audio. But overall very impressed at how far they’ve come, was able to get a rough version of Bayonetta 2 running. Also got SuperMario 3d world running. It had some problems with shadowing, but other than that it ran smooth. Mario Kart loaded ok, but was plagued by slowdowns at certain parts.

What’s crazy man is the dolphin team pretty much said this was going to be impossible.
People these days have some nice talents if i was looking for game programmers i know where to find a lot of them.
I’d guess that many of those pluggins/options aren’t implemented yet because it’s in such an early state, and the dev team is probably focused on just getting most of the big name games running smoothly. I’m sure those will come in due time.

Looks like its time to sell my WiiU. I can put the money towards a GTX1080 and still play WiiU games on my PC! Win Win
If only the N64 emulators ran this well.
This should not be released to the public.
At all.
Current gen consoles should not be emulated; doing so just supports piracy.
And buying current gen consoles supports downs syndrome.
Mario Kart 8 seems to be missing lots of shaders there and looking worse than the WiiU version by quite a bit but this is still a massive improvement
