Robotoki Studios has released the debut trailer for its upcoming open-world survival game that will be powered by CRYENGINE, Human Element. Human Element challenges players to rebuild society in the aftermath 35 years after a zombie apocalypse and adapt as the world evolves based on their actions. The game is coming in late 2015 (but will most probably slip to 2016) for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Enjoy!

This looked pretty buttery smooth and was probably running at a very high framerate. I highly doubt the console versions will play that smooth and look that good. On PC it is definitely possible.
You can create videos with CryENGINE at any framerate you want. Also, YouTube has support for 60 FPS videos.
i guess that trailer wasnt actual in game footage
i remember this game when Robert Bowling announced it years ago. after all these years a s**ty multiplayer only game
Doesn’t look at all like the design direction the old website was showcasing… This looks like a joke. And they have updated their website to portray this new look… cartoon and goofy… I was rather fond of what they were shooting for. Seemed serious and somber like The Last Of Us…
That’s exactly what I was thinking. I assumed it was going to be like an open world Last of Us, not this Borderlands-looking thing.
From YouTube Robert Bowling replies to a disheartened fans about the design change…
Not-so-fan #1: This is a complete u-turn on how the game was first described to be. Was expecting something dark, gritty and desperate. Got sunshine, cartoony adrenaline fuelled garbage instead. To say i have been put off is an understatement.?
RB: Sorry to hear you won’t be playing. The old gritty / realism was our
free-to-play approach, but have since shifted to a premium experience
focused on a different audience. Hope you at least check it out and see
it in action.
And another fan sums up what I expected from HE and Bowling gives the real answer for the change…
Not-so-fan #2: i genuinely thought this was going to be a gritty and grim almost fallout meets The last of us from the way they described it. this game doesnt look bad by any means, but….i don’t know. this almost gave me Team Fortress 2 vibes. i dont know how to feel at all.?
RB: Originally, the free-to-play version was very gritty and realm (not
stylized) but ultimately it evolved into a different approach (which you
see today). We hope to eventually be able to do the gritty / realism
focused game in the future (it is very large and very expensive).
“Cartoony” and “goofy” were exactly the words that came to mind for me, too.
I am not using adblock for over 1.5 months , because I want to support this site but these ads just explode on screen all at once which makes entire browser laggy as hell including videos .
Maybe John can put a click through for users of ad-block, like me.
Because I would click it, but I won’t turn off my blocker.
I can’t remember hearing about this like some of the guys posted but I was entertained.
Rage with MP and zombie/mutant whatever is fine by me. I think it looks awesome!

If only RAGE was made on this engine…
Cool
Looks alright. Expected a lot more.
CryEngine. My favorite game’s engine of all time.
Why i get the feeling this is cgi with counter stirke sounds on it and not actual gameplay.
A shooter where you attack shanty villages in the desert and you can use vehicles. Okay, why not. Might be interesting. Cue, generic zombie? NOPE, nothing to see here. Another generic piece of trash riding on fads, expect zero original ideas. All interest evaporated.
I thought we were done with these kinds of trailers?
