34BigThings srl has just shared the first trailer for its upcoming Carmageddon game, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift. Carmageddon: Rogue Shift will be a roguelite racing game with weapons.
In a way, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift feels like a mix of Carmageddon and Interstate ’76. So, if you enjoyed both of these games, you will like this one. If, on the other hand, you are a die-hard Carmageddon fan, you may not like the addition of weapons.
In Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, you will face off against rival gangs like the Autoscum and other rogues in a fight for survival. Each destruction race is an opportunity to win parts and upgrades, a step towards the ultimate escape.
For those wondering, the game will have a campaign mode. Every Campaign run will give you a new, random adventure. Win events and smash your opponents to earn Credits. You can also get rewards for doing stunts like killing Wasteds, drifting, jumping, and flicking.
During the campaign, you’ll have to plan your route carefully to reach Shops. In Shops, you can repair your car, change weapons, or unlock one of over 80 perks. The game gets harder as you go, with elite events and bosses to beat. With different paths, goals, and changing weather and times of day, no two runs are the same.
Even if your car is destroyed, the Carmageddon doesn’t stop. Another driver takes over, and the challenge continues in a roguelike loop. Earn Beatcoins to unlock permanent bonuses and new content in the Black Market.
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift will launch with 15 upgradeable vehicles and 13 weapon classes. There will be 80+ perks. The game will have dynamic weather and a day‑night cycle. Players can also expect an extensive visual damage model. Windshields, hood, doors, bumpers, and trunk lid will bend, crumple, hang, and detach.
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift is coming to PC in early 2026.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
