Resident Evil Requiem Leon S. Kennedy-4

Here’s what Resident Evil Requiem could look like with fixed cameras

Capcom released Resident Evil Requiem last month. Powered by the RE Engine, the game uses a third-person camera system. But have you wondered what the game would look like with its classic fixed camera angle system? Well, time to find out.

Resident Evil began as a horror franchise built around fixed camera angles. But with the release of Resident Evil 4, Capcom shifted the series to an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective. Still, I have a soft spot for the classic RE titles. So, seeing Resident Evil Requiem with a fixed-camera system is something that genuinely excites me.

Gaming with Griff Griffin and Enveloping Sounds have used a free camera tool to give us an idea of what Resident Evil Requiem could look like as a classic RE game. Do note that these are concept videos. There isn’t a mod that can let you play like this.

These videos will put a smile on the face of all classic RE fans. And yes, I’d also love to play the entire game like this. However, that’s not going to happen.

You see, a similar video came out for Silent Hill 2 Remake back in 2024. At the time, I genuinely believed modders would find a way to turn that concept video into a working mod. Unfortunately, that never happened. So now, my expectations for a possible fixed-camera mod for Resident Evil Requiem are already set very low. It’s never going to happen.

Anyway, if you’ve ever wondered what Resident Evil Requiem would look like with fixed camera angles, you can finally find out by watching these two videos. They’re really cool, so be sure to check them out.

Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem, a few days ago, I shared a VR Mod for it. This mod will let you play the entire game in VR. So, if you own a VR headset, this is a must-have mod for you.

Then we have this mod that lets you dismember all the dead zombies. This mod will make the game a bit more gory, so some of you may like it. There is also a mod that increases the number of zombies you’ll encounter, as well as a mod that replaces the voices of all the Lickers with Michael Jackson. Finally, you can use this mod to replace The Girl with the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise.

Resident Evil Requiem is right now one of the most optimized PC games of 2026. Moreover, it supports real-time Path Tracing on PC. You can check out our PC Performance Analysis here. We also have separate benchmarks for Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5.

Have fun!
