SECTOR has shared a video, showcasing the full-length Gamescom 2025 demo of Black State. This demo is from an alpha build, meaning that it does not represent the quality of the final product. So, make sure to keep that in mind while watching it.
Black State is a third-person action adventure game that appears to be heavily inspired by Metal Gear Solid and The Matrix. For an indie title, it pushes some truly incredible graphics. This is another example of how UE5 allows small teams to create games that can look amazing.
One of the big features of the game will be its portal doors. This will make the gameplay exciting and always changing. Or at least that’s what the devs claim. Every time you open a door, you can find yourself in a new adventure, which makes the game thrilling and a bit dangerous. You can also go back through the same door, giving you control over where you explore.
Survival in the Black State depends on how well you wield your weapons and gadgets. Pistols and rifles are great for steady fighting, while a shotgun can take out enemies up close with one powerful shot. The fusion gun is the most dangerous of all. It will be super strong, but you’ll need to be careful when using it.
Your gadgets can also change the battle in big ways. You can use them to sneak around quietly or cause total chaos. Just aim at your target, throw, and let the gadget do its job. But be smart because not every gadget works well on every enemy.
Players will have over 110 brutal takedowns at their disposal. These executions adapt to your surroundings, whether striking from cover for a silent kill or finishing an enemy mid-fight, the choice is yours. Moreover, the game will have a number of boss battles. Every boss has their own unique style and attack patterns. Thus, you’ll have to learn and adapt to them. Each one possesses different abilities that will force you to change your strategy. Some bosses won’t let you get close, while others won’t give you a chance to keep your distance.
There is currently no ETA on when Black State will come out. Motion Blur hasn’t yet revealed the game’s PC requirements. As soon as it does, we’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
