Noclip has shared an hour of documentary on Digital Extremes’ free to play third person online action game, Warframe. This documentary comes in two parts, and we strongly suggest watching them if you have enough free time.
In the first part, Noclip dives into the history of Digital Extremes and explain how the co-creators of Unreal transformed into a work-for-hire studio, and eventually found themselves having to make the leap to Free-to-Play. And in the second part, Noclip dives into the design of Digital Extreme’s free-to-play phenomenon and explain the lengths the team had to go to, to ensure players kept coming back.
Enjoy!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

still a great game, heres to 5 more years!
Started playing this weak . I have mixed feelings . I have no idea bow to progress. What to aim for . What frames do what or guns . Yes its tells me that this warframe do this . But i am an old school guy . And i all about style . And if i dont like how the gun feels then i dont like it. And i cant even test the guns out.
It does suck that you cant test things out so I’d say go for a melee weapon you like first. Those tend to handle pretty much how you’d expect so there’s not as much guesswork as to whether or not you’d like it.
Danny O’dwyer biging up PS4 at the beginning there. This was successful on PC long before it went to consoles.
