While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Waifu : the game.
Too late, there are Nitroplus, Vanguard Princess and Koihime Enbu.
The character models would look so much better if they went with the same style as the new Guilty Gear. Putting that much detail and then designing them as sprites isn’t really a good look, especially with a 3D background, it just makes the characters look blurry.
Chaos Code, which actually looks more decent than this, just sold 1k copies on steam, I cant see why this would perform better, well maybe because it has more boobies on it.
Should’ve called this Stranger Danger.
I didn’t mean that they had to exactly copy the way they went about it. YOu can still create a far more cleaner effect without going King of Fighters style 3D (which is far more 3D than the current GG).
Just looking at the video shows us clean 3D backgrounds with up close character models that look too blurry and jaggy to look at. Like bringing a 1992 game to 4k res, only you’re cleaning up the background artwork.
