Mafia The Old Country new feature-2

Here are 9 minutes of raw gameplay from Mafia: The Old Country

IGN has just released a new video for Mafia: The Old Country. It shows 9 minutes of raw gameplay. This is the longest gameplay video we’ve seen so far for the new Mafia game. So, if you’ve been looking forward to it, you should definitely check it out.

In Mafia: The Old Country, players will learn how organized crime started. The game tells a strong and exciting story set in the dangerous world of Sicily in the early 1900s. You will see what life was like back then, full of danger, loyalty, and hard choices.

Players will fight to stay alive as Enzo Favara and show they belong to the Cosa Nostra. This new third-person action-adventure will take place in a tough and dangerous time.

The game’s story is shown with amazing graphics, movie-like scenes, and real-life details. Enzo’s tale happens in a time when being good with a stiletto blade could save your life, a small shotgun called a lupara was a common weapon. Long-lasting revenge fights were normal, and mafia members controlled their territories on foot, on horses, or in old cars from the early 1900s.

As Enzo, players will need to learn how to use all the weapons of that time, like old handguns, rifles, and shotguns. They must use these tools to beat any challenge and stop Don’s enemies for good.

Players can also ride horses fast through cobblestone streets and open fields. They can even drive old-fashioned cars quickly down dirt roads.

2K Games will release Mafia: The Old Country on August 8th. The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and you can find its official PC requirements here.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. Idk. The driving looks worse than Mafia 1 and 2. Feels like there is no weight, the car on off-road is fast like the automobile on racetrack from Mafia 1.
Also, the animations… They look outdated

  2. Even the person cutting this footage together was getting bored and had to cut out portions of the nothingness that was happening.. like why make the player do these long drives during missions if there's no random encounters or anything of interest happening along the way?

    1. have u played original mafia?? what is this tiktoker zoomer mindset? its mostly about vibe and getting familiar with environment and pacing… U have more slow moments to then ramp up things, but i think i was born with different games where it wasnt about constant flashy lights bangbang no attention span.

      1. I was 16 when the first Mafia game came out and loved it back then.. but that was by 2002 standards so the only thing I could compare it to at the time was GTA 3 and even then I remember thinking the driving portion of the game was stiff and clunky by comparison but I loved the realism otherwise compared to GTA's cartoonish vibes.

  3. It plays like Mafia 3 and the remake, which are crap…a shame cause i like the setting and idea behind it.

    1. Exactly! Forget the graphics & "A" grade cutscenes, its the gameplay that's poor. Same copy paste since hanger 13 took over. Never liked the overly close tps camera with that skiing driving. Overall feels floaty & glitchy

    1. And it's not even open world.
Mafia Old Country is supposed to feel/be like Uncharted or Rise of TombRaider, semi to none open world.
Usually scripted games should be more fun,we will see,but from this gameplay,it looks like a mediocre game.
50euro tough, other would have asked 70 or 80 for a game like this, yet from what i see in this 9 min gameplay,i see a game that is worth pirating but not buying it,or wait for a 50% discount.
