Here are 15 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from RAGE 2

YouTube’s ‘Cerealkillerz’ has shared a new video, showing 15 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from RAGE 2. This video will give you an extended look at the gameplay, story and abilities you’ll get to see in the game (in case you want to experience these things yourselves, you should obviously avoid watching it).

RAGE 2 is being developed by by id Software and Avalanche Studios and promises to feature insane action, open-world environments with no loadings, vehicular combat, upgradable weapons, and like its predecessor will be using a first-person perspective.

In RAGE 2, players will assume the role of a Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland, as they will traverse diverse landscapes using an array of powerful weapons and unique Nanotrite abilities to defeat ferocious factions, massive mutants, and the oppressive rule of The Authority.

The game is currently planned for a May 14th release.

Enjoy!

  1. Since this game is not on Steam I will be playing RAGE 1 instead when RAGE 2 releases. Also too many lights for a Post-Apocalyptic game.

          1. I played a little but and other than the shooting mechanics everything else felt mediocre.

          2. funny, the thing i hated about it was the shooting mechanics, i thought the visual style the environment and the items you have are the best part of it.

        1. You are going to like the ending like i do!!! and don’t forget to play the DLC cause it’s way better than the entire game itself.

    1. I will play it because i play all action games so i will play it but will not touch any game that uses epic store!

      1. I just won’t pay for there games.

Steam library 1,971, GOG ~200, Origin 0, Blizzard 0, Bethesda 0, Epic 0 and Uplay 0. Though I do buy Ubisoft games on Steam.

  2. not as bad as i thought but weapon models are so trash, they feel and sound like cod weapons. attention to details is lacking like 99 percent of shooters coming out these days. it’s also too colorful for my taste, i’ll pirate it.

  3. Looks good, quite like Doom against Humans. Can’t wait till it comes out because I’m for damn sure buying this one.

      1. I can’t wait for it to come out, looks like so much silly fun!

Should be one of the first games I get after I upgrade my GPU from my R9 390, if everything goes right the next few months financially.

        1. Same, can’t wait. This year looks like it will be very solid with releases and a big year.

Now way, very cool/congrats! When you get your new GPU it will be a massive upgrade over your 390! You going with a 2080 or a Radeon VII? Which ever you get enjoy! Fingers crossed things go as planned.

          1. I’m thinking a Radeon VII if it ends up being as good as the 2080 is, if not, I may just get the 2080 since I’ll be jumping from a few generation old card into it and not from a 1080 as some people did who think the card isn’t worth it.

            Thank you dude!

      1. It does have those aspects in it too, which are fantastic as well. All the games we’ve said it looks like are great on their own, and hopefully will be really good mashed up into one cohesive product.

  4. What an awful looking garbage they’ve shat out once again. The textures and AA obviously look awful, looks like it’s the nature of avalanche after all. Remember the 20×20 resolution rocks and water in Just Cause 4? Literally PTSD.

  5. At first i was like “wait, Wellspring not to be confused with Goodsprings, wasnt on a hill. Atleast put it in a canyon like it was in the original game. Then i was like “wtf is wrong with game devs? Cyberpunk during daytime, desert during nighttime with neon lights everywhere, Wellspring looked better in the first game. SUBVERT YOUR EXPECTATIONS and all that jazz, then i was like “but of course the mayor is a strong independent wamman and not the mayor from the previous game….wait do those neon haired bandits seriously have a lgbtq flag on them, so i get to shoot sjws in this game? Noice…..wait a minute the combat is so over the top, character moves fast, so many powers, secondary firing modes, interesting weapons, wtf this is how bulletstorm was supposed to be, damn this is better than wolfencrapstein 2 the big disappointment, DAMN LOOK AT ALL THOSE SADISTIC COMBO ATTACKS, i must have replied those parts of the video a dozen times. Then i was like “the ut2004 Manta is cool and all but where its guns at? Shoot that damn convoy” seriously wtf bethesda when are you gonna show the VEHICLE COMBAT in a game that fancies itself as a VEHICLE COMBAT game. But other than that, yeah, 8/10 would jack off again to this trailer.

  6. anyone else is getting a 348mb update on steam for all of their games?i haven’t downloaded anything. i’m suspicious of mass hacking/breach or something.

    1. Its just updated redistributables. You just have to download the 348 Mb update one time for any game then the other games will all become 0 Mb.

        1. It should. If Steam was smart it have a reserved common redistributable file folder delegated in Steam for games to reference to.

If they did that each game would link to that and it only update X file once.

          1. Dude, just start pirating games. No more pointless updates to be installed.

          2. I have about 700 games on my main account and 200-300 on my alt accounts. i completely quit buying legit since last year. but i’ll buy games i really like if they come to steam (like soldier of fortune 2 and bfme2).
i did buy metro exodus and re2 remake on steam but to me they’re good enough to deserve the money even though i don’t believe in that “buy it if you like it” nonsense anymore.

          3. My Steam accounts are full of bloated indie crap too, high five. They probably paid off by farming the cards and selling them during steam sales.
Another highfive for buying RE2make. Sh*t’s a scary masterpiece.

          4. My Steam accounts are full of bloated indie crap too, high five. They probably paid off by themselves by farming the card drops and selling them during steam sales.
Another highfive for buying RE2make. Thing’s a scary masterpiece.
Speaking of Metro Exodus, you’ll get a more upgraded version of the game since Steam supports achievements but EGS doesn’t.

          5. i buy games if they’re fun and honestly if they were cracked i wouldn’t have bought them legitimately. i don’t care about achievements and those type of things.

          6. by the way, i had a steam account with almost 3000 games which i sold to someone else. i never pirated anything in my life before the division which made me realize i wasted so much money on garbage that i don’t need.

    1. if you watch the video in 2:12 you can see a lgbtq flag on the enemies. Also the quartering put up a video in which a journalist is asking id software Tim WIllits if the character in the game that has blonde hair is a parody of trump and Tim is telling him that they are not political and that Trump’s brother is part of bethesda.

  7. character models look bad, the fact that they still use normal maps to fake equipment detail and layers the same way they are doing since doom 3 makes it look like a last gen game for me. It feels fake and gamey. I get a bulletstorm vibe from the combat

  8. I will play it because i play all action games so i will play it but will not touch any game that uses epic store
