IGN has shared a video, showcasing 11 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming fantasy action adventure game, Tides of Annihilation. This video showcases the game’s heroine Gwendolyn and her companion Ninian as they search for fragments of the Holy Grail.
Tides of Annihilation is a third-person game that promises to have a spectral knight dual-fighting system. Players will be able to customize devastating combos with spectral knights in frenetic high-speed battles.
The game will take place in a modern London with a medieval setting. Players will explore iconic landmarks warped by an apocalyptic Outworld invasion.
In Tides of Annihilation, Colossal Knights will roam the city. Players will scale and battle massive, dynamic knights across London in vertical, interconnected challenges. In total, there will be over 30 unique bosses to fight. Some of them will be inspired by the lore of the Knights of the Round Table.
Finally, players will unravel the mysteries of Gwendolyn’s origin in a journey of revenge, reunion, and redemption.
There is currently no ETA for when Tides of Annihilation will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy!

dear western devs, what prevents you from making games like this?
Sweet Baby Inc. at gunpoint
yeah they are a esg mafia, you pay them and they make your game kosher approved.
None of them know what a woman is for one.
I'm so glad it's doesn't have that boring souls like combat with rotate around enemy camera perspective but rather a dynamic dmc like camera & fast paced action combat. I hope it does well. Action games need serious comeback and we're getting it.
what do connoisseurs like you, prefer?
I agree with hobo. magic and fantasy theme is overdone beyond belief. I prefer sci-fi, tech utopia, tech dystopia theme and cyberpunk of course, true cyberpunk not CDPR slop
Ironic for you to call this trash and slop and in the same breath claim you like resident evil, a franchise which is peak example of corporate cynicism with a million entries and bastardized beyond recognition.
Come back at me when you're able to make a point without it being all over the place and without writing like an absolute ret ard.
Was a bit dissapointed by the gameplay here. Looks boring and generic
Boring, soulless
Ikr? Damn shame

A game I will definitely play
Tides of Waifu
Waifu of Annhihilation
I can still go for some old-fasioned sword and sorcery but this kind of hodgepodge magic-tech theme with blue sky lasers polluting every horizon and particle effect gore assaulting your senses is really tiresome. The subtle, unsassuming, simple charms of a comparatively crude game like Kings Field 4 have far more appeal to me than Nier: LSD edition
Hack and slash games seem to be making a comeback. Or should I call it the "Stellar Blade" genre?
I appreciate the tremendous and consistent quality of hot model a*s delivered by the current generation of asian developers but the story/art concepts and writing are really not great. Chinese and korean developers will not 'save' gaming. We need to get back to the cultural conditions that allowed genuinely creative english-first-language writers to exist in the videogame industry again. Like, where's the next chris avellone? No one that edgy would even get a chance to be cancelled today, because they wouldn't be welcome in the first place. Nothing but soulless feminized zero-energy workspaces ruled by tasteless HR b*tches and mild-mannered suits.
You raised a very valid point; some games, especially from what is seemingly emerging out of the Chinese/Korean industries, just focus on the s3xualization of the female characters and everything else is garbage and just an afterthought:
"Beautiful" female MC (that totally doesn't sound like your typical Korean woman who went through plastic surgery and now totally doesn't look like your stereotypical "beautiful" Korean woman where millions already look almost exactly like her) and garbage everything else; generic Hack and Slash gameplay, empty and soulless world and environments, enemy designs that feel like it was generated by a 5-dollar dumpster model generator and put in the game as main enemies that make you want to vomit because of how disgusting their designs are ("disgusting" that isn't even in an artistic way), they just threw random garbages on top of each other and featured them as common enemies that frequently appear throughout the game and called it a day.
That's exactly how I felt about Stellar Blade. I'm not interested in it because it falls under everything I just mentioned. That is, other than the fact that for me personally, the MC's model isn't that good to begin with despite that being the selling point of the game because the character modelers just aren't talented enough to sell a game like that, unlike say, 2B or Bayonetta (just look at 2B's model in the game's Nier crossover DLC, she looks terrible from what we've been used to how she looks).
The market has become so saturated with similar ideas because it has been basically replicating a certain formula while applying 0 originality just in hopes of reaching same sales numbers of that game that had original ideas, pretty much like what happened with the FPS genre in the seventh console generation where FPSs back then tried too hard to copy COD. And nowadays, weebs are just trying too hard to copy GenShit Impact (that is totally not a rip-off of Zelda BOTW, an overrated garbage game IMO) with literally 0 originality just in hopes from these desperate weeb developers of generating as much income as that c@ncer (weebs never had originalities to begin with, they just look for a currently popular game and try too hard to copy it while butchering the idea with their cringe anime characters, just look at Code Vein and how it's a brain dead copy of Dark Souls, look at God Eater and how it's just a brain dead copy of Monster Hunter, look at Scarlett Nexus it's just a brain dead copy of Nier Automata, etc).
If we lived in a timeline where everyone was born equal to each other and was able to make their own video games rather than the upside down, Judaized world we live in nowadays, I would've made games with ideas that are far more interesting than what we have now that don't exist because of how saturated the market has become with overused ideas that have become clichés, and everyone would idiotically start trying too hard to copy their formulas while missing the point of what made them appealing in the first place.
