Frogwares has released a brand new teaser trailer for its Lovecraftian open world investigation game, The Sinking City. Taking place in the 1920s, The Sinking City is a game of adventure and investigation set in an open world inspired by the works of the famous American horror author H.P. Lovecraft.
In this game, players will step into the shoes of a private investigator who arrives in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts – a city suffering from unprecedented floods of supernatural origins. Players must uncover the source of whatever has taken possession of the city – and the minds of its inhabitants.
Our guess is that Frogwares will showcase The Sinking City during the E3 2018 event, so stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy this teaser trailer!

It looks cool and at least is a man the main character, something singular these days.
That was deep…world inside world, inside another world…and the setting looks very interesting! Looking forward to seeing actual gameplay, though I am guessing the full game might not release until probably Fall ’19 or 2020.
It was planned (maybe it still is) to be released in 2018, probably it will be delayed to 2019, but 2020 seems too much
i am a simple man i see silent hill world altering stuff, i upvote. Last game that did stuff like that was the apartment.
will this release before the actual call of ctulhu game which seems to be in dev hell?
well you can always play conarium based on mountains of madness
Apparently releasing a trailer for the game last year at E3 is development hell. Sorry the games not being released immediately and they’re working on making the game good since we’ve gotten nothing but awful excuses for Call Of Cthulhu games.
The one game that’s trying to recreate the Pen and Paper game is taking a bit too long to release. I’d rather them take five-six years to make an actual good game then get another sub-par excuse.
Loving what i’m seeing so far. Will depend on what the gameplay is like and a variety of other manners they could mess it up.
Game looks awesome, I will be getting it for sure.
