First gameplay trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem

Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studio have released the first gameplay trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem. This trailer features some gameplay sequences, as well as some cut-scenes. As such, it will give you an idea of how the game looks and plays like.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game will follow Amicia and her brother Hugo on a perilous new quest, doing whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world.

In this new trailer, as Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem “Requiem” sets the tone, witness the first glimpses of Amicia and Hugo’s epic adventure in a brutal, breathtaking world twisted by supernatural forces. After escaping their devastated homeland, Amicia and Hugo journey far south to new regions and vibrant cities.

Players will discover the cost of saving those they love in a desperate struggle for survival. Players will be able to strike from the shadows or unleash hell, overcoming foes and challenges with a variety of crafted tools and supernatural powers.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming to PC in 2022.

      1. Nup, nup … Not Cry Engine. If it was I would’ve known, coz I especially look out for Cry Engine based games.
        They built their specific proprietary engine with special rendering for the first game and it seems highly like that they’re using the enhanced version of it for this sequel but not totally sure.

        1. Yes, the French developer Asobo Studios used their own in-house engine. These are the same developers that handled Microsoft Flight Simulator as well. The new game will most likely be based on their same in-house engine but modified. It does look similar to UE4 though.

    1. None. Only if you think that playing as a girl that says only once in the game when she goes alone in a city full of rats “We girls have our ways” or something of the sort. If you think that is propaganda, then yes, the game is full of it.

  1. Finally! The only game i am still hyped for in these crappy AAA games times.
    And i was pretty worried we’ll be stuck playing as Hugo. That wouldn’t be terrible, but Amicia was such a great protagonist. Glad we play as her again.
