Ryu Ga Gotoku has shared the first proper gameplay trailer for its new game, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN. Moreover, the team announced that it will hold a full reveal event on May 6th at 4:00 pm PDT | May 7 at 12:00 am BST.
Sadly, Ryu Ga Gotoku has not issued any press release for it. There aren’t any store pages for Epic Games Store or Steam either. So, we can only talk about what we see in the trailer.
STRANGER THAN HEAVEN will have five cities from five eras. The trailer also gives us our first look at its combat system, as well as some of its side activities.
To the surprise of no one, this feels like a Yakuza/Like a Dragon game with a different skin. Thankfully, this isn’t a turn-based game. Instead, we’re looking at an action adventure game like the old classic Yakuza titles. So, if you enjoyed those Yakuza games, you will most likely find STRANGER THAN HEAVEN interesting.
There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Ryu Ga Gotoku has not shared the game’s PC system requirements either. However, I don’t expect it to require a high-end PC. From what I can see in the trailer, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN does not use any Ray Tracing effects. We can also assume that it will use the Dragon Engine. Furthermore, its graphics do not appear to be pushing the graphical boundaries of third-person games.
Stay tuned for more!
