Moreover, there is a an option so you can toggle between the vanilla and the remastered graphics.

YouTube’s ‘taltigolt’ and ‘1 Up Nerdcore’ have shared two gameplay videos from this flight. As such, you can watch below 44 minutes of gameplay footage from Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary PC.

There is currently no ETA on when the game will come out. However, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

      1. Because we already have Halo 1 (with the superior SPV3 mod) and Halo 2 on PC? I’m more interested in new content rather than graphic improvements.

          1. You can still play the campaign, if you want Halo Multiplayer on PC there is already Reach, The Original Halo and Ewdorito (Halo 3).

      1. cuz we already have Halo 1 (with the superior SPV3 mod) and Halo 2 on PC? I’m more interested in new content rather than graphic improvements.

          1. I was not talking about graphics, but content. Would you rather play the improved version of Halo 3 (provided you never played it) or the improved version of Halo 1 (which i already finished 2 times)?

          2. I would say that you already played the best Halo has to offer (Halo 1 and 2, the OGs in PC) but some people would argue that 3 is the best..so, imho we are not missing much with this “remasters”. Reach was the one that i was kinda expected the more..until i played it.

          1. I played the game sometime ago, didn`t find issues playing the campaign. Not gonna say it`s a good version, the Vista exclusivity was crap.

      1. Who cares? Halo 1 and 2 are already here if you want to play right now. You can play Halo 1 SPV3 which is a huge improvement over the base game, provided you are not a purist.

    1. No u! we already have Halo 1 (with the superior SPV3 mod) and Halo 2 on PC. I’m more interested in new content rather than graphic improvements.

      1. Played Gears UE with Kb+mouse, now i’m playing Gears 2 emulated on Xenia and Holy F is the character cumbersome to control with a gamepad.

          1. Not really, I have an I7 3770 and GTX 1060 6gb, Gears 2 plays like a console version (some fps slowdown in some areas) plus graphic glitches in some areas too.

          2. Compare an i7 3770 (released in 2012) with an I7 9700k, then come back to me. My PC is mid range at best, apparently Xenia is GPU bound but a Win 10 is a must because of the Directx 12 functionality.

          3. Maybe, but we are in 2020, not 2012 and my rig is not the best for emulation (but it`s getting there thanks to newer emulation being more peformance friendly).

    1. Sad too hear. Reach on PC was so much fun, I could not wait and went back to my Xbox one and played through Halo 1-5 again over the new year’s break. Probably the best 10 days of gaming in my entire life. Halo is my favorite franchise of all time, but I realized I never once just sat and did all 5 games in a row. So I finnaly was able to earn the Master Chief Sage playlist achievement. Halo 1 still holds for sure. In fact, I would say it’s still better than 75% of the single player FPS games that have come after it.

I mean… Doom 1 1993 is still a good game. So not really sure how you don’t think Halo 1 hasn’t aged well. Its easily one of the top 5 is not top 3 best FPS and most influential FPS games of all time.

    2. Personally, I hated the two Halo PC games. Then I played Reach with a friend co-op and had an absolute blast. I’m a fan now, gameplay wise. I still don’t personally care for the story though.

    1. its because its a strange bug, the controls are messed up currently.WHen you press the zoom key, it does not do anything.

  1. Good to see 144fps is supoported. I was sad to see Reach being extremely unstable when “uncapped” framerate was selected. The game plays well at 60 but given this is an FPS 120-144fps really is a game changer.

    1. It wasn’t unstable at all. Game run at over 120 fps flawlessly, though it got limited to monitor refresh rate if you intended to cap it in any way whatsoever.

    1. It’s not a bug, it’s art direction/art vision .
2020 and people still don’t see difference, but still are repeating someone bs comment.
Things like that change, that’s why RE2R has different sound than RE2 cuz they went that art direction and vision -.-

      1. So what`s the deal with the audio aniways? I didn`t notice any problems with the audio, is this something about X360 vs PC version? Never played the original version.

        1. The mixing is all over the place, guns sound muffled, the music is too loud..the voices are too low, sometimes audio doesnt even play/trigger. Some cutscenes have no issues, some do, but in a story focus FPS (or any FPS honestly)…the audio is kinda important…so i stop playing the game since then…we are talking about more than 2 months here and no fix in the horizon. Didn’t care for the multiplayer but i guess there’s no issue there (i can’t imagine a good MP FPS experience with the issues i mentioned if that’s the case)

      2. lol, no bro, it is clearly a bug, people already have comparison videos. the Xbox360 version doesnt have audio issues.

if you actually played it, youll hear that the audio for the guns sound muffled or lower than the rest of the game. its clear as day that this is some kind of bug.

    2. They’ve still not fixed that? smh. It doesn’t exactly instill confidence in the remainder of TMCC. If that’s how lazy/incompetent/unprofessional they are then I’m definitely glad I didn’t rush to buy it this early.

      1. I don’t think it’s laziness, it’s mostly incompetence, they care more about adding a special banner for Black History Month than fixing an audio issue.

        1. I thought you must have been joking at first but then I discovered you were not. facepalm.jpg at Microsoft Studios and all involved.

    3. I doubt that they even know how to fix it. Apparently it was already an issue during the flights.
I’ve stopped playing Reach since December because of that bug and also because half of the features are missing.

    4. “UE4 crash on 7/8.1 still exist too. Pathetic”

Crash on unsupported 11-years old system? I must check if this also doesn’t work in Windows XP

  2. My god, just stick a fork in this abomination already. You had one easy job, to port some console games over to PC, and instead, you turn it in to this over complicated gong show of incompetence.

Can M$ do ANYTHING right anymore?

    1. What can you expect from a company that took more than 10 years just to port these games and now they are focusing on releasing games that have already been released instead of the ones not on PC (Halo 3, ODST, 4 and 5).

      1. Well, releasing any of these without a server browser was a terrible idea too. And I bet there won’t be one for Halo CE or halo 2 when the original PC releases had at least that.

  3. There is no point in making these games if they don’t put in real support for higher than 60fps refresh rates. This duplicating frames bs makes this a no go. It’s 2020 and support for high refreshrates is still atrocious.

  4. Currently playing this on Legendary. Im surprised how good it looks. I got a steam key sent to me via email. No complaints here!!!

  5. They should also have actual servers you can put map rotations on without getting kicked back out into the lobby between every damn match. Why not implement this into Reach so the other ones don’t trainwreck?
