The Relic - The First Guardian

Fantasy Action RPG, The Relic: The First Guardian, Gets New Official Gameplay Trailer

IGN has shared a new official gameplay trailer for the upcoming fantasy Souls-like action RPG, The Relic: The First Guardian. Moreover, the devs launched the game’s Steam store page, revealing a 2025 release date. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

In this action RPG, players will embark on a heroic adventure to save the world in the dark as the last guardian. Players will start their journey as a guardian, gather pieces of great relic, and close the void.

As with all Souls-inspired games, the game will have stamina and dodge mechanics. You will also be able to deflect enemy attacks, which will allow you to unleash combos on your enemies. You can see more of the game’s combat in the following trailer.

The game will offer players to choose 5 different types of weapon options, of which form the basis of the action. Each weapon has its unique skills which can be changed according to your play style.

In The Relic: The First Guardian, characters do not have levels. Instead, they use runes, items, and crafting to power up. To make their characters the best, players will explore dungeons and defeat bosses, which helps them expand their world and reach their full potential.

The Relic: The First Guardian has been in development for a while. And, since this is an indie game, I suggest keeping your expectations in check.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. More soulslike trash from South Korea. I'm surprised no one has developed soulslike-spam blocker at this point.

Asians truly have 0 imagination. A homogeneous herd that copy pastes everything.

    1. I'd normally get pissed with all the negativity here but, in this case, it's warranted. How many more of these games can we all take?

      1. John contributes to soulslike spam with his Unreal 5 spam , which most soulslikes use.

There's tons of cool AA games coming out daily. Many use Unity or custom engines, but they don't get talked about on this site, because they don't use Unreal Engine 5.

So you end up with a gaming site that just talks about mods and Unreal 5 games. And then John says the site doesn't make much revenue. Shocker.

The 4 news items below this one are literally all Unreal 5 games.

    2. That's why diversity in the west truly is our STRENGHT.

You can't beat unlimited creativity from all the different perspectives and ethnicities, even with higher IQ.

      Race realists seething!!!!

  3. omg looks f*king awesome!!

Soulslike but wth magic/badass powers and a fight system looks like Black desert??

And the music is so good

  4. From the trailer it almost looks more like a devil may cry beat-em up type of game.. man I wish those were being pumped out in mass instead of this masochistic genre.

  5. "And, since this is an indie game, I suggest keeping your expectations in check."

    Expectations, you say? For this?!
