Bethesda has released two new trailers for Fallout 4 that focus on the game’s customization, crafting, modding, and player freedom. Fallout 4 aims to offer multiple ways to play and a myriad of customization options, from modding to crafting. Fallout 4 releases on November 10th.
As always, we strongly suggest avoiding pre-orders. Still, if you can’t wait until its PC Performance Analysis goes live, you can pre-purchase it via the following button.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

Old videos from E3. Not even “trailers”.
So far i like it !
I have only one question: who would even want to do some additional work for bringing mods to consoles, when they have enough problems on PC? Modders, at least, can earn some $ on PC, since I know people donate to their favorite authors, and get a lot of feedback.
What can consoles give back to the modding community?
What can consoles give back to the modding community? Nothing.
The console mods will be closely monitored/vetted by Microsoft, which defeats the whole point of community-made content.
It is on PS4 as well, so the consistency of mods are gonna get really weird. There will be tons of mods that are only on PC… like the majority of them.
Then there will be mods that Sony approves that Microsoft wont, and vice versa, so there will also be mods that one console will have that the other wont.
This could all end up being quite the clusterf***. At least it won’t really effect PC too much.
Exactly. Mods on console kind of defeats the purpose. They’ll essentially be free DLC. You won’t have really wacky or risque mods or mods that violate copyright like the Iron Man/Hulk GTA V mods because Microsoft/Sony would never approve them.
Mods are about freedom of content, not a mommy/daddy figure telling you what you can or can’t have.
You are right. No point. Giving additional, fan-made content to players is stupid. They should abandon the idea of getting mods to consoles because mods will be hand-picked by Microsoft or Sony so it’s silly.
Mods are fine and I’m sure the console gamers will enjoy it, but they’ll only get a small selection of mods that are filtered and vetted by Microsoft. The ones that are the most fun are the ones that no company would allow on their online stores like PSN or XBL.
The console gamers will get sanitized mods.
I think the relationship between a modding community and a audience must be symbiotic, something to give and something to take. The console audience, on the other hand, is more like a parasite. I doubt an ordinary console player will even bother to make a comment, not to say about giving a small donation.
What amazes me most is that Bethesda is taking everything the modding community did for granted, and even trying to put a parasite on its back. Instead of actually giving more support to PC, they (again) focus their attention on consoles, and SDK (again) is delayed (until 2016). Maybe consoles (together) give them more profit, but ultimate a game lives longer on PC, and nothing will change that.
i guess it’s a marketing trick, i doubt console gamers care that much about mods, or maybe just few hand picked skin colors etc…
Probably paid mods and walled gardens, I suspect the fiasco with Skyrim had something to do with plans they have/had for FO4.
As UBI…Beth need some lession on Crafting from RUST
2nd video is titled ‘Player freedom in an open world’ and not a single word about that is spoken other than ‘you can do stuff!!’
Well, it’s Fallout. You will have quests and some encounter with NPCs. You WON’T have (hopefully!) billions if icons when you open the map, like in some Far Cry, Inquisition or Witcher 3.
Can’t wait. 500+ hours here I come ?
