DRAGON BALL Sparking! ZERO feature-2

Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 vs DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO Early Graphics Comparison

A couple of days ago, Bandai Namco announced a new DB game, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. And today, YouTuber ‘Loooru’ shared a video comparing it to Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3. The video shows how much better the new DB game looks. So, check it out to see the improvements.

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO will have better character models, as well as more detailed stages. It will also have better particles and beam effects. Not only that but the developers claim that there will be environmental destruction. So, as a DB fan, I’m really looking forward to it.

In a way, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO reminds me of the DB Super Broly movie. It has the same art style. And thank God it doesn’t look anything like the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie.

In DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, you get to play and learn a lot of the iconic characters from Dragon Ball. Cell, Freeza, and Broly will be on the game’s roster. And yes, you can expect all of the Z fighters to be there. Each of them will have his/her signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.

The game also promises to have super exciting 3D battles. Bandai Namco claims that these battles will match the vibe of the anime and manga.

Finally, there is no ETA on when this new Dragon Ball game will come out.

Enjoy!

  1. I see loads of youtube thumbnails with mouths open watching this trailer, the hype train is truly on course. Imo I was quite unimpressed with the visuals, the character shading looks totally out of place compared to environment shading and it still just looks like an upscaled PS3 game at best from what they showed. Destruction still looks pathetic.

  2. PS2 had some neat visual tricks, those effects still look amazing today, it’s a shame modern devs still can’t get transparency on special effects right.
Comparing CoH1 to CoH3 or even CoH2 is like night and day as well.

Still, looks alright, it will probably be filled with DLC though.
Tenkaichi 3 came out with so much content in it’s base game that it will still be played in 10 years.

  3. Funny, it’s not that great of an evolution.

And I dislike the overdone special effects with all those sharp crazy lines filling the entire screen. I might even prefer the old special effects.

The destructible environments, that’s the real massive improvement here.

  4. As someone who played DBZ:BT3 and Raging blast series with my friends back in the day, I am super excited for this game

  5. Nothing was wrong with the super hero art style you’re just sh*t. You should leave your personal commentary out of this kinda sh*t.
