Starward Industries has shared a new gameplay trailer for its disaster extraction survival game, Into the Fire. This new trailer unveils new elements of the cataclysmic extraction survival experience set amid a chain-reaction volcanic eruption on a remote island cut off from the world.
The trailer highlights high-pressure rescue missions, fierce clashes with the elements, and retropunk survival gear. It also shows some mysterious anomalies rooted in ancient legends, now awakening as the catastrophe escalates across the archipelago.
In this game, players will face fire demons and battle the fury of nature in a disaster extraction survival set in the shadow of an erupting volcano. Players will wield tactical extinguisher weapons and fantastic retro inventions. Moreover, they will be able to expand base, dive into mystical tales, rituals and unexplained phenomena, as well as rescue people and animals.
As the devs noted, the Hub will be your sanctuary. This is a place to regroup, craft essential survival tools, upgrade gear, and rest in a garden. You can also choose the equipment that determines your playstyle and piece together the island’s ominous past.
The game’s world will pulse with a distinct retro aesthetic. The devs aim to capture the golden age of scientific ambition intertwined with folklore and the supernatural. This will offer a survival experience that leaves you breathless with every burning step.
Going into more details, players will be able to use rope systems, retro sleds, and other tools to navigate treacherous terrain and reach those in need before time runs out. They will also be able to read seismographs, manage resources, and make tactical decisions to stay one step ahead of both natural and supernatural threats.
Moreover, the game will offer experimental gear like unique retro vehicles, fireproof shields, and acid-resistant boats to survive the inferno. Plus, you will wield unique tools like a suppression pistol, extinguishing shotgun, and fire bomb launcher.
Starward Industries plans to release Into the Fire in Early Access sometime in 2026.
