Cyberpunk Squad-Based Shooter DEFECT Gets First Gameplay Trailer

emptyvessel has released the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming cyberpunk squad-based shooter, DEFECT. The game will be using Unreal Engine 5, so this trailer will give you a glimpse at what its devs aim to create.

In DEFECT, players will choose from a collection of dangerous factions. To be more precise, you can choose between the System’s own policing force, Rogue Police Elements, and a host of gangs vying for power.

The game will offer both PvP and co-op modes. You will compete to achieve objectives like smuggling guns, assassinating targets, or arresting suspects. You’ll also suit up with state of the art weaponry and technology to give you the edge you need to live another day.

In DEFECT, you will fight in tense and tactical matches as a member of a four-person squad. You will attempt to fend off other teams eager to claim every credit and reward for their own. Moreover, every match will have multiple objectives with different finales.

Although there is no ETA on when it will come out, the devs have already shared the game’s PC requirements. So, let’s take a look at them.

To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2060. The devs recommend an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 3070.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
