Not worth it.
Worth it because it’s for free for people who already have experienced it.
Worth just for them i guess…
Looks like they used console footage for the original with how low res it is. Still, it’s a free update, so I’ll be happy if they:
-Get it working out of the box for modern OS’s
-Add options like anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, FOV slider, mouse sensitivity/acceleration to the menu
-Unlock the 30 fps cap on physics and animations
Oh, so it’s free for the owners. I have heard that already but forgotten it. Great! I can’t believe how they could be so generous. Huge respect for 2K!
A scam. You only get 1080p@60 which is not even because of their technical work.
Notice how in almost every scene they ‘just’ avoid showing the sprites they used for water splash effects, to hide the non-existant work on this “remaster”.
These are best kind of remasters. I want the remaster to preserve the original not replace it. So in that sense, this is the best one yet.
For the people who have the retail version of first BioShock and can’t activate it on Steam: write a ticket to 2K Support, they will sort it out!
Bio shock was great game, what they do now?
