Naked Rain Studio has released an official gameplay trailer for its new game, Ananta. Ananta appears to be an anime GTA-like game that will be coming to PC. And, since GTA 6 won’t be released on PC in 2026, this could very well steal its lunch.
Ananta is an open-world RPG set in a big city. You can play as different characters and explore anywhere you want, from busy business districts to dark back alleys. As you move through the city, you’ll meet all kinds of interesting people and even build your own crew.
You can team up to fight hidden dangers in the shadows, or just enjoy the nightlife under the bright neon lights. The choice is yours. You can live for the adventure or relax and have fun. In Ananta, the everyday promises to be full of chaos, and a whole new world is waiting for you.
There is currently no ETA on when the game will come out. We do know, though, that it will support NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Gen.
Now, the biggest issue some people may have with this game is its swinging mechanics. Let’s be real here. These mechanics look exactly the same as those of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Honestly, they look TOO IDENTICAL. Some people have accused the devs of “stealing” them. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 uses Insomniac’s proprietary engine. So, I don’t know if it’s possible to export the animations from it. Still, the similarities are striking. Everything looks the same with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
In a nutshell, Ananta feels like GTA meets Spider-Man 2 with an anime style. Whether this is something that will spark the interest of PC gamers remains to be seen.

Oh they most definitely exported all of the animations from the developer build of spider-man 2 that leaked on PC a year or so ago

I also had to mute the trailer around the halfway point, the song that was playing was AWFUL!
I really don't mind them stealing other assets so long as the end result is good. This is a "problem" for devs, not end users.

This feel more Yakuza style than GTA, except you can ride vehicles. For GTA you need the degenerate stuff like plowing thru civilians, mass shootings, etc.
The english dub and the awful pop music made me turn off immediately.
Game looks like Sleeping Dogs on steroids, play on your phone coming and going to work, then jump on your PC to play max settings, insane.

It is a NetEase FREE-TO-PLAY game in an MMORPG style. Although they have avoided the "GATCHA" tag so far… remember it is NetEase behind this.
I.e., gatcha and depth of RPG elements are still partially unknown. I'll definitely keep watching this game but not holding my breath for something that actually respects players and isn't just made strictly for profit, with a nice shiny coating to suck in gullible gamers.
Martial Arts combat reminds me of Sleeping Dogs. If they can pull this off it might be good but video looks a little too promising so I'm not gonna get excited until it releases.

Oh my God, I literally thought that the thumbnail was Neverness to Everness because of how extremely similar it looked like it, only to find that this is YET ANOTHER anime trash rip-off than that one (which the former anime trash is yet another rip-off of another game).
Almost all of these cancerous and brain dead 1:1 anime trash rip-offs are just 1:! carbon copies of each other, and all of these talentless and brain dead soy weeaboo developers have to do is just rip-off a "best-selling and currently trending game!" Really getting sick of people comparing everything to GTA 6 or oh its another GTA 6. Has anyone seen GTA 6 trailers and videos? Its a damn love story and it looks terrible. GTA 5 was also terrible. GTA isn't the only open world third person game around lol. Anyways as for Ananta, it looks like a clone of Agents of Mayhem, but worse. Not saying it doesn't look interested, because it does, but it ain't a GTA game, its not a Saints row game, its just another open world game. Agents of Mayhem and Crackdown 3 looks better and more fun.
