    1. The plan is to do a bait and switch after the first level and the protagonist will be replaced by a black lesbian feminist with a godawful face and flat chested as well. It will be a glorious victory indeed for the far left liberal a*s hats that are meddling in the entertainment industry.

      1. The game is from a lesser known publisher and the IP is one that hasn’t been culturally relevant for 10+ years. So there’s going to far, far less sheeple consoomers that will buy it regardless of content.

They’re banking hard on the name recognition of having a Hollywood actor from hit TV show Stranger Things as a playable lead of the project.

My point is, I seriously doubt that they’re going to try to do a woke bait and switch here. If they make a sequel to this game though? THEN they might do the woke bait & switch. The developers are Swedish, who’re known for a being an ultra woke society. As soon as think that they have a captive audience (i.e. if a sequel gets greenlit), they probably won’t be able to help themselves with their agenda pushing.

EDIT: I watched the trailer linked by the article. They showed characters smoking. Depicting smoking leads to negative ESG points. It really looks like they’re reigning themselves in with this particular game at least.

      1. actually its both , i don’t know if its gonna be like the new nightmare where you can choose from following the story line of Carnby or Aline , aline was f*** dificult

  1. The faces and voices look weird, for a game called alone in the dark it is too bright with horrible lighting, gameplay looks super over done and generic. The only good thing is that you can explore a mansion like resident evil 1 but even that, as you can see is done through open streets and swamps in the rooms, so not really.

  2. This game’s presentation is pretty bad. Not sure what the point of this game is as it has no atmosphere and the gameplay is not good.

    1. The game clearly has plenty of atmosphere. The art style looks solid to me. I think you just mean there’s not a whole lot going on in the video which I can agree to. No narration to explain the mechanics and features of the game – just a whole bunch of out of context b-rolls.

The original games were pretty much slow paced and part of the adventure genre with some action elements so I don’t know if that’s what they’re going for here. Maybe they just don’t wanna end up looking like a RE clone even though RE is basically a clone of this.

  3. despite everything that might be wrong with it, i actually like the atmosphere and locations, combat need a little tweak to be more impactful and the ray tracing implementation made the characters look flat and lit despite having global illumination and bounce lights correctly. ambient occlusion is a bit flat and i think the traversal stutter needs to be fixed, but overall it gave me a good impression about the whole game

  4. I don’t know if this is an unreal engine asset flip or a sh*tty indie RE2 ripoff, but it’s trash and the devs behind it are creatively bankrupt trend chasers.
All these unreal engine games look, feel, and play the same.

      1. You’re right, but so is he. We’ve got a case where the originator has become the imitator. Eg how Tomb Raider 2013 + its sequels became Uncharted clones.

” The team was inspired by the success of Resident Evil 2 in 2019, and Resident Evil 3 in 2020″
