CVG has shared a video comparison for Alien Isolation, showing off the differences between the PC and PS4 versions of the Creative Assembley’s sci-fi survival horror. As we can see, the PC version comes with better and richer effects, as well as better textures. As you’d expect, cut-scenes look similar on both platforms, suggesting that they are most likely pre-rendered stuff. Still, the in-game difference is easily noticeable, which is something that does not surprise us at all. Enjoy

The only thing i can notice is that ps4 has lower contrast.
It’s not contrast, it’s looks like higher precision lighting and better anti-alaising on the PC version
Wrong colorspace conversion on the PS4 makes that comparison completely pointless.
Yeah,you can adjust the lighting,AA,textures and particle effects on the TV screen menu.

It doesn’t matter even if the ps4 footage uses sepia effect you can still spot the difference .If you know what you’re looking at ,of course.

well thankfully at least there is no news about this game being delayed and it doesn’t seem to need one.
The haziness of the PS4 version makes it look closer to the movies. The PC version looks better overall, but too “clean”.

To all dummies thinking this low contrast on the PS4 part was intentional. This happens when you grab a video from the PS4 with the hdmi output set to display a limited color range (16-235) and forget to upscale it to the color space of the PC which is (0-255)
Both look pretty good, tho I do prefer the cleaner look of the PC version, and it almost looks like the PS4 version is missing some color correction… regardless both versions will rock and I’m super amped for this title.
I cant see any diference, and before someone come to say me Im praising that piece of crap box called ps4, Im just want to say that maybe Youtube messed the video or this is just another shitty console port for PC. Anyways maybe this is another video of those which are made by console c/ck sucker magazines to show “how the PS4 is good as any PC”. LOL, just play the damn game.

Yeah I’m out of here, these videos are the reason why console players don’t even understand what 720p 30fps is.
You can still tell a lot, depending on what the differences are. Things like the quality of shadows and ambient occlusion, texture quality, draw distance, anti-aliasing, and missing visual effects can be pretty easy to pick out.
Sure if you know what you are looking for. ”Ambient occlusion” is complete Hebrew to console players.
There are massive amounts of ignorant “PC gamers” as well.
True, you can be extremely casual with PC too. A basic laptop can run something like league of legends.
