MINTROCKET is developing a new game called Nakwon: Last Paradise. This game is set in a zombie apocalypse with a stealth survival theme, much like The Day Before. Additionally, it will be powered by Epic’s latest engine, Unreal Engine 5. And here is a video featuring 50 minutes of gameplay from its alpha build.
Since this gameplay video is from an alpha build, it does not represent the quality of the final product. Still, we’re talking here about 50 minutes of gameplay, which is more than what we’ve seen from The Day Before. Ironic, isn’t it?
Now as you will see, both The Day Before and Nakwon: Last Paradise look similar. However, it appears that Nakwon: Last Paradise may lean more towards the “Extraction” genre. Or at least that’s what I got from its Steam store page.
The game will be set in Seoul, and players will have to infiltrate the city to collect useful items and sell them. That, or they can make money by completing missions.
In Nakwon, zombies are drawn to sounds, and upon spotting human beings, they chase after them. So, players will have to cover themselves and move in silence. They’ll be able to lure zombies, disrupt their attention, and run away. And yes, your gunshots will also draw all nearby zombies.
There is currently no ETA on when Nakwon: Last Paradise will come out. If I had to guess, I’d say that a 2024 release seems plausible. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

This looks incredibly uninspired.
Also, footstep sound indicators? seriously? What happened to just having good sound design?
Good lord yet ANOTHER zombie game?!?!???
I burnt out on that sh*t a decade ago ……
same, it was fun in the early to mid 2000s when the only zombie games we had were zombie panic source and land of the dead road to fidels green. Then l4d and dead rising came and it infected every game to a point yakuza and red dead redemption had a zombie dlc.
You know this game is crap, it’s Korean Nexon garbage.
But you will post anyway, because the game uses Unreal Engine and you have some mindboggling obsession with this engine.
Another day, another AI generated video game.
Where do you find these games John?
A YouTube channel called Enfant Terrible I bet.

Its another game like H1Z1!…big Fake!
Peace!
Oh hey, it’s from Mintrocket, the developer of Dave the Diver. The studio nominated for indie best game at Doritos Pope’s Game Awards. Lovely nice small indie studio… that’s made by a subsidiary of Korean F2P giant Nexon.
Dave the Diver is excellent, so what kind of point are you trying to make?
Man, you lack reading comprehension skills. A game made by an internal studio of a AAA publisher shouldn’t qualify for an INDIE game award category.
I love how Geoff Keighley and all the members of The Game Awards (the Verge, Polygon, PCGamer etc) are now asking themsleves “what exactly is an indie”.
Everyone knows what an indie game is, it’s an independent small studio. It’s not a subsidiary of a billion $ company.
Instead of them admitting they messed up, because they don’t know the first thing about gaming, they are doubling down, even suggesting any game can be an indie.
I love how Geoff Keighley and all the members of The Game Awards (the Verge, Polygon, PCGamer etc) are now trying to muddy the waters with gaslighting articles : “what exactly is an indie”.
Everyone knows what an indie game is, shady ****s, it’s a game from an independent small studio. It’s not a game from a billion $ company.
Instead of them admitting they messed up, and recognizing “Dave the Diver” does not belong in the indie category, they are doubling down on their mistake, even suggesting any game can be an indie, and blaming users for questioning their choices.
It’s like when TheVerge did that horrendous PC build. Instead of admitting they don’t know the first thing about PC and are just clueless hipsters, they doubled down and claimed it was racist to suggest the black guy who did the horrendous build was clueless.
yeah its hillarious, but dont worry, nexon came out and said they gonna remove feminism from their games and politics and make them apolitical, so no awards for them.
I don’t get dave the diver at all, it’s boring and like so many other “lifestyle” solitaire type games idk never really clicked as a game or good at all. And the reviews stink to the skys as full of AI bots, shills and the huge devs themselves buying and manipulating their way to a “hit” “indy” game, seem as good at manipulation as remedont and others.
its good but its repetitive, most of those games like graveyard keeper and stardrew valley and my time at portia are super repettive.
Janky as hell.

Thanks, I was touching my ball sack and smelling my fingers out of boredom.
Average dagoat reply 😀
28:41. explain me how the asian zombie that looks backwards, its a thing look it up, didnt see him and took it down by chocking it, explain.
Joanna boy collecting more pay from epic unreal shilling here. Nice job tying into a different major game there too for seo. These zombie genre stuff are getting sooo boring, yeah so it’s the tribesters manipulative use of apocalypse for their schemes. The sort of sadistic killing you get in this whole genre also helps to spread these hermetic-kabbalist-trannee cult scum doings, call it moloch, kali whatever all the same garbage. The sicko tranees we get all over are zombie frankensteins. UE5 is just a poor way to dress up garbage and put some makeup on it.
In my personal opinion, we’ve gotten too many zombie games as of late. This Nexon game lacks complete atmosphere, looks clunky and I am pretty sure it’ll be riddled with technical issues. Something “can” look nice in U.E.5 but I tend to think that these days they’re way too focused on that because gamers want a ‘cool’ graphical game. Melting our computers and asking bizarre high settings without proper optimization than focus on core, fun gameplay.
I’d rather play a game that’s made out of pixelated characters that gives me fun and appreciates me as a gamer than a beautiful game that works like a steaming pile crap.
This is one of the reasons why old games are being more appreciated over time or getting remastered because even in the gaming industry people have become creatively bankrupt, lack of storytelling and inserting politics is nowadays far more important than to give us pure enjoyment, transforming our escapism into something we don’t want.
Tragically hard to watch, let alone play
As cool as running in a dream. Couldn’t past the 30 seconds in this shït.
