This may be our first look at BioShock 4

A screenshot from what appears to be a 2021 build of the upcoming next-gen BioShock game, BioShock 4, has appeared online. This leaked screenshot does not show much, so don’t get your hopes up. Still, this is something that may interest our BioShock fans.

In this leaked shot, we see a weapon, the game’s WIP UI and some of the Plasmids. The shot is from a project with the codename “Parkside”. For those unaware, that’s the same codename for BioShock 4. So, this seems to be a legit leak.

And that is that. Sadly, there is nothing more to add to this leak.

Since the first BioShock games used Unreal Engine, we can assume that BioShock 4 will be using Unreal Engine 5. And, since the game hasn’t been officially announced yet, we can assume that it will take full advantage of both Lumen and Nanite.

In short, I expect BioShock 4 to be at least a good-looking title.

Now as with all the unconfirmed leaks, we suggest taking it with a grain of salt. Still, everything points to this being a real WIP screenshot from the new BioShock game.

My guess is that 2K Games will officially reveal BioShock 4 sometime this year. There are also rumors that the publisher is working on a remake of the first BioShock game.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. "And, since the game hasn’t been officially announced yet, we can assume that it will take full advantage of both Lumen and Nanite."
    WUT ?!

    1. He was probably day dreaming about having seks with his girlfriend unreal engine 5 while he was writing this

  2. Not hopeful about how a Bioshock Remake would turn out in today's politically correct games climate but I can skip it if they pack it full of that silly sh*t and still enjoy replaying the original every few years which is one of my favorite classics.

Bioshock 4? Want to hear more about it. Like where will the setting be. We've had Rapture under the sea and Columbia in the sky. Where to next?

    1. You're the one to talk you fence sitting boneless mothercker? Your nose is still brown from eating Muslim a*s.

    2. my dudes, biosht infinite and last of us STARTED all this woke crap you guys were too blind to notice it.

      1. what was woke in infinite and last of us? all 3 of the bioshock games were intrinsically political and the things people call woke in last of us 2 i didnt really see when i played last of us 1 recently.

        1. I'm guessing he's referring to the themes of racism, communism, and workers rights in B:I, or maybe the prominent female characters?

          1. It’s been a minute but I feel like that stuff was definitely in Borderlands 2 and maybe half of that in the first title.

      2. tbh I didn't see what was coming when Bioshock Infinite came out back in 2013. It was pretty obvious that Levine didn't like America and wanted to dump on us but seriously only a naive person could not see the huge stain on American history that was slavery and the racism that was an American tradition for decades after slavery was abolished. There is no good way to portray it. Levine obviously used it in the game when he didn't have to to take a shot at Americans. That's political but for me that isn't the same as forcing the extreme politically correct values in games of the last several years.

        1. levine and his people owned the vast majority of the slave trade ships and brought them to the west. When asked how did he write the story for the game he said he put his liberal arts degree to work, bioshock 1 was basically about his kind not fitting in american society

    3. What in bioshock 1 that also a receieved a remaster release as recent as 2020 would have to be adjust or changed?

      1. You don't understand the difference between a remaster and a remake. A remake changes more than just the visuals. It typically adds levels, items to find, characters, maps and sometimes even changes the story. A remake during these times could be complete sh*t.

        1. In short, just look at what Capcom did with RE2/4R and Motive did with DSR. Both are excellent idea of what Remake is.

        2. No I understand that difference. I just don’t get what would be changed from the original, even if it were made today? Like in my head a remake of bioshock 1 today would literally be the exact same because a lot of its themes are still relevant and also very in your face already. Maybe theyd explicitly make that artist dude more gender fluid?

  3. Can Bioshock 4 even exist? i mean the western civilization society has fallen into the dark depths of insanity with all this political wokeness
Bioshock is a theme heavy game, it requires a director with proper vision and courage to pull off
The Original Creator Kevin levine is doing some other game

    1. and that game is called judas and its a sci fi game and the first thing you see in the trailer is a mural of a interfacial marriage. Meanwhile in the system shock trailer you see saturn and the space station. This tells you where the focus is, to be fair biosht infinite sucked and was kinda woke itself american krogan series of videos on bioshock opened my eyes, bioshock was not about what you tihnk it was it was about people like ken levine, j3ws, not fitting in the western civilziation. In fact they are directly responsible for this "dark depths of insanity" you mentioned all you have to do is check their surnames and every single time you will find out that they are in fact j3wsh.

I have no idea how this game is gonna turn out, i know it wont be good and it will be woke.

Prey is a much better game than modern trash will ever be. I want to say something positive about sonar shock as well but no that game is trash.

  4. I do have hopes to see what they do with the franchise now. The previous games larger themes were to satirize various ideologies. If the rumour that they are going to antarctica next is true, I can only imagine that theyll dive into n@zi conspiracies regarding that area. My friends were saying theyd be tired of all the n@zi games but when i asked what other n@zi games they were playing since like wolfenstein 2 the only other thing they could bring up is zombies and that n@zis would be tired. Nazism would be really close to the Facism in Infinite but then if it was a richman's utopia it would end up like a retread of the first title. But hey i guess thats for the developers to figure out.

  5. Just FYI this game is just a shell of Bioshock and has been in development hell for almost 8 years now IIRC. Ken Levine is off making Judas, much of the original team is gone (there are a few remaining on this project), and it's confirmed to not take place in Rapture or Columbia which defeats the purpose of even calling it Bioshock since the locations were what made it special in the first place.
Also John there's no evidence that it will be using UE 5, both the prior Bioshock games used versions of UE that were quite old by the time they were released since the development cycle was so long, this game is probably no different.

  6. Bioshock was fantastic and done enough by itself, maybe the first 2, 3 was a somewhat different thing though still a great game, and that was more than enough.
4 is just riding the name and diluting the franchise, but that name will sell.
