No Man’s Sky has just been released and below you can find some 4K screenshots from the PC version. Our PC Performance Analysis will go live later this week – once NVIDIA has released proper Game-Ready drivers – so stay tuned for more. For what is worth, and thanks to its Experimental patch, we did not experience any frametime or stuttering issues (that have been previously reported). Enjoy!

Looks like doo doo
A blurry mess..
Cottage cheese in glorious 4k resolution!
Enjoy the sh*tty JPEGs?
It looks the exact same as the PS4 version, just less jaggy lines. The CA effect really hurts those pictures though and blurs them too, such a shame the devs never bothered to include the option to turn it off.
CA?
Chromatic Aberration.
Chromatic aberration.
60 bucks for this mess Rofl
It was fun for first 2 hrs….. €60 wasted….
OMG, it’s you again!
Hello Dave!
hahahahahahaha
Looks nothing special.
At first I read 4 FPS screenshots…
LOL
Those ground textures though, what the what.
I think it’s the texture filtering that’s the problem.
The texture looks decent and it uses 3.5 GB of my VRAM already.
Well, a small team isn’t going to hand craft every planet, procedural generation can do some ugly things but at the same time there are a lot of really nice planet environment that come out of it. People expected too much or didn’t under how procedural generation works, it doesn’t always look good, the trailers are just their nice planets.
Hopefully they implement better anisotropic filtering for PC and clean up those textures.
The AF and AA are broken I think. As in, looks like they aren’t even implemented.
That or they’re extremely low rez so it won’t matter how much anisotropic filtering is applied.
The textures are low res indeed, but there is something wrong with both AA and AF in the game. And there’s some sort of filter or post process (or maybe it’s the engine, I don’t know) that makes it all blurry. No matter what res you put, the subpixel detail doesn’t seem to change much.
To obtain some sharpness is required some Reshade/SweetFX + Force AF.
Yeah the aliasing even in 4k is horrible.
Just bought Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for $36.99, now that is money well spent. Not this copy/paste trash of a game.
I didn’t play the last one, I might try the new one though.
Are you joking you have not played the Deus Ex: Human Revolution? Its easily one the best games of all time and a must play if you like Stealth games. Many people are expecting Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to be a strong GOTY contender. Do not miss out on Deus Ex: Human Revolution if you seriously have not played it. You can get Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut for around $5 on various key sites.
Thanks, it’s on my list though, which seems to be getting longer every year (:
Put it on top. Finish Human Revolution first then get Mankind Divided. I am currently playing it for the 4th time in anticipation of Mankind Divided.
4th time, wow.
Where from ? g2a ?
Well now honestly that sounds much fanboy speaking. I mean Dex:HR was a very good game, but MD looks very much a copy/paste, surely much more than this, also looking at the gameplay clips of MD, there wasn’t much of an improvement in pretty much every term, especially graphics, and AI animations. Although, yes, looks a decent game…
P.S. I don’t like this game a bit, instead i’m the biggest lover of deus ex saga, but the first one is unbeatable for now. I always thought Deus EX should’ve died as standalone, seen what happens in the end, no sequels or prequels (seen how HR ends too)
Procedural generated graphics doesn’t mean great graphics. /thread
Did anyone actually said that? 0.o
Would be interesting an algorithm more complex that shaped terrain and animals with some relation between its evolution process, not a completely random generated space that does not try to mimic the nature.
Funny to see people calling it organic
It’s not completely random, the planets take in to consideration how far they are from the Sun and yes you do have the Goldilocks areas where you see more complex life and varied life.
The sun distance is rather simple, at least not as random as i thought… Still the “humanoid” characters are dreadfully random.
Seriously, let me guess Minecraft was a laughing stock because of the graphics? How about Borderlands? No, the point is when your not aiming for realism it doesn’t mean your graphics are crap. OOOh nobody can run it, it’s broken. NO .. I have an I5 & GTX 960 and run it max settings 1080p 60fps which is exactly what I designed the system to do. It crashes or slows 1 or 2 times a day which is not bad for release. It’s not worth AAA, no it’s not like Rockstar has any problems on release of games apart from every game they ever done. I’m sorry 4k, 8k, 16k wow that will keep me interested for like 1 minute as it has little to do with enjoying a game. So none of you have a console then? Otherwise no game could possibly live up to your requirements. Because this is still way better on PC than console and no console people are crying about graphics. Blurry? Get glasses.
That actually makes a huge difference, thank you for sharing.
