Bandai Namco has shared some new screenshots from the upcoming official Fast & Furious game, Fast & Furious Crossroads. These screenshots showcase some of the environments, as well as some of the cars that will be in it.
Fast & Furious Crossroads promises to deliver pulse-pounding gameplay both in single player story mode and a soon-to-be-revealed multiplayer mode. The game aims to have an authentic storyline, and packed with heroes, gadgets, cars and non-stop cinematic-style action.
The Fast & Furious Crossroads story mode expands the Fast & Furious universe. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson will reprise their roles as Dom, Letty, and Roman.
Players will also travel from the streets of exotic locales to the murky world of international espionage, pulling off high-speed heists and stunts as they battle to take down a new threat.

yup, no other game close to it, the sequel was trash and that psx game was a deathmatch.
Not expecting Forza level graphics but hopefully they can deliver a few hours of decent over the top car action like the movies do.

I wouldn’t say that they’re naive for believing the franchise is interesting.
What they believe is that the franchise is lucrative, which as I’ve said it is a billion dollar franchise, so there is some truth to the popularity and it is easy to assume that there is something they think interests people, as why else would so many people watch it if they didn’t get something out of it, not once, not twice, but several times.
So I don’t think it’s a black and white case I personally think.
They would be naive if they denied the lucrativeness of the franchise, yes ! but to state that the series is remotely interesting is in my opinion ludicrous. I think SM themselves acknowledge the fact deep down but are just trying to make something slightly less mediocre out of it. I absolutely despise the way the success of this idiotic franchise has impacted the likes of NFS. I was playing both NFS reboot and NFS Heat the other day and it’s clear as day how much they have changed the characters, soundtracks, story, etc. in the hope of appealing to the audience of such movies as opposed to the fanbase.
I agree, it does suck that these films are that influential. Both the run and payback were such a disappointing mess, exactly because it couldn’t decide what it wanted to be, and due to the whole fast and furious influence.
