MediEvil’s The Graveyard map recreated in Unreal Engine 4

Environment Artist Fernando Damasceno has recreated the Graveyard map from the 1998 game, MediEvil, in Unreal Engine 4. MediEvil was an action-adventure hack and slash game that came out for the first Playstation and as with all fan remakes, it will give you an idea of what a remaster could look like.

Unfortunately, Fernando Damasceno has not made this project available to the public. We don’t know whether this will happen, however you can view some screenshots – and a video – from it below.

To be honest, it would be cool if the artist added some basic gameplay mechanics and released it. After all, this is a Sony game and even if the company decides to remake it for modern-day systems, it will most likely won’t be coming to our platform (pretty much what happened with the Shadow of the Colossus remake).

But anyway, enjoy the following screenshots!

  1. This is no recreation of the classic graveyard map, it’s some grass, a couple of headstones, pumpkins and the medievil title.

  2. All those Days passing by, they came and went I’m not gonna lie. Didn’t realize it was Life, time sure flies but it was Nice!

I just came up with that right now 😛
