Frogwares is working on a Lovecraft game (Call of Cthulhu) and today released some new pictures from it. And while these are just artworks, we are pretty sure that all Lovecraft fans will drool over them. So go ahead and take a look!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

that looks sick (in a good way)
Kind of disappointing that this looks like it’s going to be an action heavy game – but that’s just the vibe I’m getting from the first pic. The rest could be closer to the style.
Honestly, if you remember reading these short stories, it was all about the buildup. And it seems the best way to bring that to a game would be to have it start as a slow moving horror game, like that one… I think it’s Layers of Fear, and then when you get to the ending, it shifts into a much more hyper, frenetic pacing style, then BAM, Big tentacle guy.
Really, the ideal Lovecraft ‘journey’ type game I’m picturing would be a richly drawn, heavily detailed, ‘At the Mountains of Madness’ game. I mean that story went from creepy to holy f**kballs over the course of it’s plot. Would be an outstanding horror/adventure title I’d think….
I’ve never been impressed with anything that even remotely sports Cthulhu. It’s a non event to me. The entity itself looks stupid and not at all imposing.
