I have been gaming for longer then most of you have been alive and have a more grounded view point then those of you who started gaming in the 2000’s. When your first home console was Pong and Computer was a Vic 20 then you have a much better appreciation of what modern gaming is. I don’t let things like DX12 being available only on Windows 10 bother me. I don’t act like Microsoft broke into my house and raped my wife…. All those options are giving me a stiffie, too bad its exclusive to Windblows 10 and F2P.
If I recall correctly everything should also be unlockable without paying a single cent – like it is in the console game as well – so not really F2P as much as it offers paid shortcuts for the lazy with a disposable income.

Game runs at full 1080p on X1. So these screenshots being taken at 900p is due to the users own selected settings. You guys are soooo ridiculous with this crap. It’s brutal. For gods sake your getting this game for FREE and you STILL COMPLAIN!!! It’s pathetic.

Hey, OP here, couple of things. The game does support up to 4K resolution, 900p just makes for better software based recording, since OBS is pretty taxing and Shadowplay hasn’t been updated for DX12 yet. In addition, I’ve noticed some moderate screen tearing at 1080p, probably because this isn’t a final build of the game yet, and it’s not really out for the public yet. Besides those flaws, which will undoubted be fixed in time for the release they haven’t announced, I’m sure you’ll be able to run it at whatever resolution your monitor supports. Cheers.

That game was also 1080p/60fps back in 2006, man, was the PS3 a beast!
I like how they done cars in “ProjectCars”, but tracks looked really flat and empty to me, and I had a feeling that I’m playing unfinished game.
When it comes to Forza PC verison, not only car models looks good, but also tracks. There’s nice amount of details all the way up to the horizon, and colors and lighting is vibrant, I like that.
But graphic is not everything. For example project cars is not a racing game for everyone, racing wheel is must and personaly I didnt enjoy that game at all on xbox gamepad. In comparison I cane enjoy playing games like Gran Turismo or Forza even on gamepad.
Are you kidding me? PCars looks much better than Forza 6. Forza’s tracks are very flat and empty and unfinished feeling.
I’m not kidding, that was my impression in regards to track quality in project cars. You can tell that a lot of work has gone into the car models, as they’re the best looking element in this game. But it’s a shame that this level of attention to detail wasn’t applied to the tracks. Many elements of tracks are surprisingly low-res. To be fair, certain objects and details looks nice in project cars, for example trees and grass, but just few meters outside the main track, there are mostly textures, and empty space (and even buildings in project cars looks flat). I was surprised seeing something like that, and my feeling is, that they just rushed with this game (or didint care at all about tracks quality).
This being a free slimmed down version with the best of Forza 6 makes sense a lot of sense if you think about it; obviously they’re gonna want to release Forza Horizon 3 on PC later this year on the same day it launches on X1 (ditto with Forza 7 following in 2017), so releasing a full new game right now would cannibalize their sales later this year.
Good way to get the series out there tbh, while at the same time being a good excuse to let the devs get a hang of developing on PC, as well as catering to the PC audience with the expected features.

Apparently, it doesn’t support online play, which i don’t actually care about. If it supports split screen though, this will be a day 1 install as i miss couch gaming with mates. Lack of wheel support at launch sucks though.
