Rockfish and Evolve have provided us with a copy of the prototype demo for its open-world space shooter, EVERSPACE 2. EVERSPACE 2 promises to feature deep exploration, sophisticated RPG elements and an engaging sci-fi story. The game is using Unreal Engine 4 and below you can find some 4K screenshots from it.
EVERSPACE 2 looks absolutely stunning; this is by far one of the best looking space games we’ve seen to date. While it does not have the scope or attention to detail of Star Citizen, it can looks almost as good as CIG’s upcoming title.
Everything in EVERSPACE 2 looks great; from its environmental effects to its enemies. This obviously should not surprise us as the first EVERSPACE game is also a great looking title. Still, Rockfish has managed to further improve things in numerous areas.
Performance is not that great at this point, though we should keep in mind that this is a prototype demo. EVERSPACE 2 was unable to hit 60fps in 4K on our NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti. The prototype demo did not also offer any graphics settings to tweak, and did not feature any ray tracing effects.
Rockfish plans to release EVERSPACE 2 in September 2020. The team has also launched a Kickstarter campaign, aiming to raise 450K euros. So far, it has managed to raise 220K euros, and has 23 more days until it hits its initial funding goal.
Enjoy!

Too much chromatic aberration! WHY???????
WHYYYYY????????
I really don’t understand these developers! why should they always implement this so marked chromatic aberration?
I really don’t understand how a game set in space can’t reach fixed 60 fps on an RTX 2080ti (4K) …
okay, the graphics are nice but we are in the space guys, where by definition there is little or nothing besides some asteroid, planet and the spaceship itself! there is not so much to render on screen ….
How does an open world, full of stuff, like GTA V or The Witcher 3 run at 60 fps in 4k, while a game like this doesn’t make it?
Furthermore, this game seems like an ideal candidate for Nvidia’s much vaunted MESH SHADERS …. but why does no title ever use it? is the Turing MESH SHADERS just another marketing gimmick? will we ever see this techinque at work?
u mad again bro
Umm… Not a single screenshot from in-cockpit view? Wha… I don’t get it.
You can find one in the kickstarter, cockpit is not implemented yet, the demo ha no cockpit
Game looks really nice, I am looking forward to the final release!
Man in a few years we are going to see some crazy visuals in games.
