Quakecon 2015 is currently under way and Bethesda has just released a new set of screenshots for Doom. Doom is being powered by the ID Tech 6 Engine and is currently planned for a Spring 2016 release on current-gen platforms. Enjoy!

They should change that yellow sky red to give it a more hellish atmosphere.
I rather like the yellow-ish sky, gives us something different then the red norm I would of expected.
Not to mention hurt your eyes something fierce and probably conflict with the red electric effects they have going on between rock pylons.
Looking quite good…
fingers crossed no game will ever use id tech 5 ever again. id tech 6 from here on out.
The colors look a lot better in this. Especially liking the top left image. I hope the imps, soldiers, and hell knights would be more distinguishable with less color filter. The environment poly count seems a bit too low at places though.
JESUS…
I only hope my 2500k and gtx 970 g1 gaming are enough to play it at 4k dsr max settings . Or else i will overclock the 970 to it limits(+170 core +400 mhz) and also try to overclck cpu from 3,3ghz to 4.2(if i dont have a new cpu already bt then)
ummm 4K, nope.
Will they show another gameplay trailer too?
There is something Wrong with PBR materials on pic 3, too much metalness
Does anyone know if this is OPENGL, VULKAN or DX11-12 ?
id Tech has always used OpenGL, since it’s a new engine (id Tech 6), it’s probably Vulkan, assuming they had access to the Developer version & thus could implement it into the Engine during Development, not to mention how id Tech 5 was AMD-focused, & Vulkan is building on Mantle, so quite probably.
