Crytek has just released a new set of GDC 2015 screenshots for its video-game engine, CRYENGINE. These images show a variety of games that are powered by CRYENGINE, including UMBRA, Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Monster Hunter Online. In addition, we’ve added below two GDC 2015 trailers dedicated to Crytek’s engine. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. No Crysis 4……
or any crytek games for that matter, they dug their own hole trying to appeal to audience that never cared about them.
It’s true.
And then Unreal’s new pricing structure came along and started shoveling dirt on top….
Isn’t Cryengine cheaper?
Only if your game is pretty successful…
CryEngine is $9.99 a month w/o royalties.
Unreal is free with 5% royalty after $3000 per quarter.
So unless your banking decent sales and subsequent cash: Unreal is the cheapest option.
Yeah, thats right. Cryengine was cheaper before they made that change. I think it was $15 a month right? Before it went free?
Couldn’t care less about them when they stopped making crysis exclusively for PC, good riddance.
omg hope we see some great dinosaur game in near future i loved that first pic
It’s from Monster Hunter Online
What dat pic from monster hunter online then this picture look lame 😉
Nope, there’s no creature like that in MonHun
CryENGINE is beginning to show its age. Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 5 look much better.
Is #18 from Evolve?
Yes. It’s the Kraken monster attacking a power relay. The hunters are supposed to kill the monster before it can destroy the power relay.
I didn’t know Evolve used Cryengine! For some reason I find that surprising.
Graphgics same as always, but what about unprovements to the hard to use and overly complex editor? they are going to have a hard time with UE4 and Unity being free.
