Square Enix has released a new set of beautiful 4K screenshots for CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION. These screenshots showcase some of the game’s characters, as well as some environments and combat sequences.
CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION is a remake of the FF game that came out on PSP in 2008. The game will feature a complete HD graphics overhaul, newly arranged soundtrack, and an updated combat system.
CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER operative. As his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create.
Square Enix will release this Final Fantasy game on December 13th. Here are also the game’s official PC system requirements.
Enjoy!

And if you start paying attention you will notice that it looks very mediocre. Even the ground is flat everywhere without any bumpmapping or tesselation, in some places 2-3 rocks added. Ignoring all the flashy screenshots, all that remain are character closeups with hard depth of field enabled making the casual think that the graphics are beautiful. Disappointed.
I hate depth of field I turn that sh*t off.
Well it is a multi-generational multiplatform game after all. It’s even getting a Switch release. My guess is someone will do a mod for good quality textures on PC somewhere down the line.
It looks worse than 7’s “remake”, and that one cut a lot of corners especially on some textures.
dude its just hd update for psp game, they never said it will get FF7R style visuals, also unlike FF7R its full game and its pretty long and actually good as game in itself. It looks ok for what it is.
Hope they didnt put no cringey dance battles in this one.
Chromatic aberration needs to be pulverized.
