Stellar Blade Title Update 1.2.0 Released, Full Patch Notes

Shift Up has just released Title Update 1.2.0 for the PC version of Stellar Blade and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

Patch 1.2.0 unlocks the Hard Mode from the start of the game. Hard Mode is also unlocked for Boss Challenge. The update also introduces a new save file recovery feature. If a save becomes corrupted, a backup save can now be restored upon launching the game.

This new patch also improves the graphics settings menu. Now, it shows both how much video memory (VRAM) your game is using now and the highest amount it might use. This will make it easier to choose the right settings so your graphics card doesn’t run out of memory.

Title Update 1.2.0 also fixes a few other problems. One fix stops characters and the camera from acting weird during the Scarlet battle when QTEs happen. Another fix makes sure EVE’s gun doesn’t disappear after using a Burst Skill in the NIKKE mini-game. The update also fixes a crash that could happen when players entered Photo Mode.

Stellar Blade is a big hit on PC. In just three days, the game managed to sell over one million copies. So, I’m curious now to see its post-launch support.

Naturally, the game got a nude mod in its first days. In fact, the nude mod appeared before the game came out, and it was compatible with its PC demo. Since then, I’ve seen a lot of hot costumes on NexusMods. However, one of its best mods is the Walk Foot Sliding Fix.

This mod aims to fix the game’s walk foot sliding issues. For those unaware, EVE will slightly slide whenever she stops moving. You can get used to it. However, some may find it frustrating as it does not feel realistic. And that’s where this mod comes in. By using it, you can mitigate these walk foot sliding issues.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. The update also introduces a new save file recovery feature. If a save becomes corrupted, a backup save can now be restored upon launching the game.

You know, I could have really used that a few days ago before I needed to restart the game after 37 hours in (apparently it's a somewhat common issue). I got a blue screen of death when loading into the game and my save file got f*ked up. It kept my place in the story but all my outfits l, skills, and items were fine.

  2. "Hard Mode" is now available from the start of the game. "Hard Mode" is also unlocked for Boss Challenge.

I never knew that before. Wooooooow……… it's 2025 and imagine locking Hard Mode behind a second playthrough………………………………………………..

Yet more proof that this is a sh󠀀it󠀀ty game that is only hyped because of the eff󠀀emin󠀀ate so󠀀yboys (AKA weeaboos) who let their hormones guide them into their trap.

    1. Oh shush, plenty of games still lock higher difficulties behind completing your current highest.

if you actually played the damn game, you wouldn't be saying all this insult-based nonsense.

      Black Myth Wukong did it.
      Lies of P did it.
Lords of the Fallen did it.
      Its very common.

      1. Hey, just because a game still does a backward tradition, doesn't mean it's "OK". Locking hard modes behind a second playthrough doesn't "encourage" people to replay a game, it only discourages people from having to play the same game all over again just to play a hard mode when they could've simply started it from the beginning.

So many games released even today force you into your system's language with no option allowing you to change the game's language, does that mean it's OK? What if the game forces you into your system's language and you want to change the language because of the sh󠀀itty translation that is full of typos and words that nobody who speaks your language even heard of in the first place because they basically translate these words using Google Translate?

FYI, s󠀀hit󠀀ty translations are extremely common even to this very day, worse still when they're official translations and not just some fan-made translations. We're living in 2025, not 1985, and so many games still don't support this feature FFS. No, having to look up how to change a game's language by modifying the game's files is not an excuse.

        1. Ah, so many things to address, not enough time. Okay, let’s begin!

It’s not a backwards tradition, it’s a staple. You get 2-3 difficulties to start and unlock harder ones when you’ve beat the hardest. The reason why it’s common is because it pads out the game’s played time. It keeps people interacting with the game. It’s part of psychology and marketing. It’s also in part why people ask for NG+.

The longer and or more often they play your game, the more likely they are to either: Buy the sequel, purchase a MTX or DLC and finally, return to the game during updates.

This is why they dump collectibles everywhere. It pads run time and keeps people playing for longer. Besides the fact it gives you a goal or achievement, it in short, gives you more to do.

“It doesn’t “encourage” people to replay a game, it only discourages people from having to play the same game all over again”. I disagree, people have replayed games countless times with or without unlockables and the psychological nature of it also disagrees. Now, I’ll admit, what you say can be true for some gamers but not all. Its carrot and stick. If the game mode itself isn’t enough to entice players then they need to give more of a reason to replay it. That doesn’t mean this action or requirement is bad.

Ill also agree that, if there is a QoL update due to player feedback that allows you to start hard mode right away then there is nothing wrong. But expecting every game to go this way is just absurd. I personally don’t think its needed but I’ll welcome it.

In all honestly, having adjustable settings for difficulty is the future and I think that’s the new way of doing things in 2025 due to different gamers play styles. I’m not going to expect this from all devs. They do what they think is best at the time.

Now, system language has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Why would you want a language different from your own system language? Because translations? Why would a dev inherently know this is an issue at all? This is a case by case issue.

While Hard Mode is a different thing entirely compared to this.

You’re doing a whole off topic rant about translations and I really wish I understood this topic but I rarely have this experience in gaming. Maybe when it comes to reading, say, Manga or Manhwa, I can understand. No one likes a bad translation but sometimes it’s better to have something than nothing. However, official translations being bad is inexcusable. Someone got paid to do a job and did it poorly.

Anywho, I think this is enough yapping.
