Dying Light The Beast feature-2

Dying Light: The Beast Hotfix 1.2.3 Released – Full Patch Notes

Techland has just released Hotfix 1.2.3 for Dying Light: The Beast and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

According to the devs, Hotfix 1.2.3 fixes some random stuttering issues that could occur when using Frame Generation. This means you can now turn it on and enjoy smoother gameplay. The update also fixes several crashes, making the game more stable overall. So, it should now run better on your PC.

Hotfix 1.2.3 also packs a couple of gameplay tweaks. Grabbing Biters is now less frustrating and feels more fair. This is a much-needed QoL improvement. I can confirm that in the vanilla version, grabbing felt a bit broken. So, it’s good to see the devs improving it. Moreover, the hotfix fixes an issue where patrolling routes of Screamers in Dark Zones were broken.

For those wondering, a previous hotfix has already fixed the in-game rain issues. In case you didn’t know, you could see rain effects inside buildings. This could break overall immersion and make the game look kind of bad. So, yes. This has already been addressed.

And that’s not all. Hotfix 1.2.3 fixes a couple of weird bugs. For instance, it fixes a bug where breakable doors and windows respawned after reloading, trapping players inside. It also fixes an issue where music could loop infinitely after reloading certain quests. Plus, it resolves an issue where reloading the save could leave the entrance blocked by an unintended obstacle, preventing players from entering.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can find its complete changelog. Be sure to also check out our PC Performance Analysis.

  1. I get massive stutters when I lock my frame rate, also my gpu temp with a locked 60fps is same as locked 5fps as well as locked 120fps.
Refunded this trash thinking it's probably some DRM thing but the pirated copy is the same.

  2. I finished the game last night. Simply amazing game, haven't seen a better zombie game lately this good. Had no issues with my 4090.
