Dragon Age The Veilguard feature-3

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Update 1.0.0 Released, Full Patch Notes

BioWare has just released the first patch for its latest Dragon Age game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Title Update 1.0.0 for Dragon Age: The Veilguard brings a number of bug fixes and tweaks. So, let’s take a look at its full patch notes.

Patch 1.0.0 fixes an issue where DLSS options could end up “grayed-out” on a 40-series Nvidia GPU. It also updates Intel XeSS version to 1.3.1. Not only that but it eliminates the cause of a small number of crashes.

Now what’s interesting here is that this update will slightly improve the game’s visuals. As I wrote in my PC Performance Analysis, Dragon Age: The Veilguard already looks great and runs smoothly on PC. So, the fact that the devs have further improved them is a plus.

So, the devs have added collision to several assets that were missing it. Moreover, they fixed several distance “pop-ins” on level art assets. Also, they updated a number of assets to improve visual performance over long distances. Oh, and the devs have also fixed lip sync in some ambient scenes.

And that’s not all. The necks of NPCs will no longer grow unexpectedly. Long hair should now properly mesh with certain armor. And the patch corrects instances where NPCs would not properly look at each other or at Rook.

Naturally, this update also comes with a number of bug fixes. You can find all of them below.

Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Title Update 1.0.0 is 996MB in size on PC, and below you can find its full patch notes.

  1. Nice! It runs surprisingly well on my computer, though the one bug I have encountered is sadly not listed, which is the deletion of permanent stats given by those buyable valuables after dying

          1. Ngl, the devs adressing all of the issues with Inquisition in interviews, positive previews and their commitment to performance had me. Another commenter mentioned I could “OC” the steam deck and while the battery suffers its been a better experience on that platform.

      1. Well I was getting through Metaphor and when Veilguard came out I put about 10-12ish hours into it. I find a lot of the general complaints about it to be grossly overblown but the average play time is about 60-70 hours and I’m probably still pretty early. I do like the combat, while different its more engaging than previous entries. I like some of the characters like Neve, Lucanis and Darvin more or about the same as previous Bioware characters and from perusing social medias these characters arent the ones that get talked about as bad/badly written. But I was about 60-70% done with Metaphor and leaving it unfinished was burning me so Im just going to finish that before I get back to Veilguard and then probably Stalker 2 if nothing else comes up.

          1. In the 10ish hours at I had at the time nothing really bothered me. Even now I’ve grown to appreciate the accessibility the game provides by adjusting the timings and controls in combat. I think everyone was collectively disappointed by the new look of the Qunari so I didnt think it was necessary to point that out. I’ve noticed that the problem some reviewers mentioned with the simple puzzles seem pretty localized to main quest puzzles while the side quest puzzles do keep varying levels of complexity. After finishing Metaphor more recently, it could be due to overexposure, but I think I’ve preferred the companions in both veilguard and Infinite wealth to a large swathe of the cast in Metaphor.

          2. Do you work as a game journalist by chance? I never bothered with this series past Origins, and this is the type of game i refuse to play based on visuals and gay vibes alone, no amount of “good gameplay” makes up for tha attack on my aesthetic senses.

          3. No, I do not. I understand that sentiment. If the game doesnt look appealing or another draw factor isnt there I won't even bother with it. Beyond that I do drop games If I feel like Im not having fun at all and If I feel there's almost no point in continuing. One that really sticks me till this day is Soul Hackers 2, that had a pretty good opening but it feels like so much of the management is designed to make you waste time instead of playing the game. Boltgun was another one because the damage and guns felt off in a way thats kind of hard to describe and but felt wrong compared to other boomer shooters in my opinion. I almost dropped Outlaws as well before I remembered I was pushing through ignorable side content and could just focus on the stuff in the game I found fun.

      1. nah, just didnt see a reason to get a 40 series so soon especially with the 50 series around the corner. LS and AFMF on my machines are fine enough but native agnostic frame gen support would have been cooler.

  2. Wow, version 1.0.0? So the game wasn't finished till now? I mean that's the state most games launch in these days, but at least hide it a little better.

You know what the funny thing is? They still bought it. No matter what the YouTubers or people are against this game wanna say, the game is still a success. So what does that tell you?… The fact that EA allowed this to be released. Also for the first time since the Advent of Denuvo, the released a game WITHOUT Denuvo. They are making sure it gets into everyones hands. Buckle up, there will be lots more to come. After the success of this game you'll be drown knee deep in Woke Fuqeray. Gaming is DEAD!

      1. I hate when y'all do this. It's not a success by there numbers. Keep believing those bloated numbers they put out to achieve. This game is a success and it doesn't always mean financial success. It succeeded in doing what they wanted it to do. Y'all keep on with the denial. It peaked at 90k people playing over the weekend. Id say that's a success in more ways than one. The fact that this filth is being played by that many people, on one platform, is a great success to them. Don't shoot the messenger, like I said, the landscape will forever be changed and gaming is dead.

        1. Very right, It breaking any record and having public discourse is probably the best they could hope for before writing it off. However, its just very funny how everyone has turned to arm chair economic analysts.

        2. "This game is a success and it doesn't always mean financial success" lol this guy think ea is charity or something that all they care about 🤡

also let's say they all right the game sold 2 m copies if ea excpected it to sell 2.5m it's still not a success

that the same message they said about galaxy andromeda and anthem where are they now?!

          1. You actually just proved my point by asking “where are they now”, because they are still fuqin here. The company itself, ain’t going no where. Look man believe me or don’t believe me. You and the rest are too fuqon slow to realize what’s REALLY HAPPENING! I’m not here to convince you, just wait and you’ll see that in no time, how much you’ll be drowning in this Fuqeray. You think they don’t already know that the majority don’t care for this foolishness? You think they are oblivious.

What you dont seem to understand, these sovereign countries like the United States, Canada, The UK, ETC are modern day Babylon. THEY ARE Liberal as fuq and will buy into this garbage sooner or later. You don’t travel, just like the rest of these gamers. DON’T have a God damn ounce of discernment. Therefore, you really don’t understand the dynamics of this world or how far the phaggotry will stretch.

These Sovereigns are already lost, it’s only a matter of time. What makes a country like the USA great is the same thing that will cripple it to it’s knees, ACQUIESCENCE. It thinks this live and let live strategy works. It really doesn’t, it only leaves room for the Fuqeray to infest like a rot in a wound. You go to certain countries in the Caribbean or Latin America, where there is ZERO tolerance of PHAGGOTRY they don’t have these problems and they never will.

North America is modern day Babylon and it will fall. When you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything. I don’t expect you to understand any of this because you believe the these people care about money. I keep telling y’all, money is made up and have no real intrinsic value to the people that’s pushing these agenda.

    1. what success? This game was in development for 8 years, it was bought because the lying journalists overrated this trash because its woke, but like starfied now peope find out it sucks actually.

      1. No one lied, everyone knew in ample time that the game is a woke pile of trash. This has been talked about for quite sometime. But believe whatever you want man, you'll see what the fruits of this veilguard will bring. Ain't gonna argue with none of you, just watch what happens next.

          1. Why wouldn’t they give it a 9/10 or a 10/10? It ticked the boxes they’ve been desiring. When since did you pay attention to journos, anyways. Yes because journos were on your side right? Haha, c’mon man

          2. Ahhh EXACTLY! Look man I know we all have our differences and we don’t see eye to eye on everything. But you know I’m not some crazy conspiracy nut just spouting it. You of all people, should understand these ramblings of mines. This is deep bruh, bioware just opened the flood gates and changed the gaming industry FOREVER. We are going to be drowned in this rubbish… Pronouns and never ending phaggotry is here to stay. I don’t think people realize how serious this.

Everyone is talking about money and everything from the perspective of money. They could give a damn about money. They got and they wanted to accomplished. Even if the money mattered, They make enough money off of Fifa to absorb the consequences of their BS. But let’s be honest, over 15 years ago when they started with the romance choices in their games, where the FUQ did people think it was gonna go.

    2. No matter what the YouTubers or people are against this game wanna say, the game is still a success. So what does that tell you?

That gamergaturz are raytarded living in their own bubbles and wokeness does indeed sale?

      1. One would be quick to say you’re right. But nope that’s not quite it. It comes down to the gamer..gamers are weak pathetic people for the most part. Most of them are just interested in playing the latest and greatest graphics. And if hearing some brain dead creators drivel through his half witt works is the price to pay, then they will gladly play it. Weak and push getting

      2. Go to Steam and see the number of people playing.
You'll know if it's indeed a success then.
Here show it's on the 28th position with 42,215 players right now.
There's 424,774 people playing 'Banana' at the moment, which sits on the 3rd position.

So, if a game called 'Banana' has 10x more players than your freshly released game, your game is a failure!

        Go be geh somewhere else.

    3. Your post reeks of demoralization. Success is measured in sales numbers, that's it. Money. No other relative terms you can come up with will replace that. 90k people playing on steam (all those because of brand recognition btw, because that's what woke does, attach to something else never on its own) that means 90k people are playing on steam, that's it. Only the total global sales figure will tell a whole story but I get a feeling we won't see that.

      1. And with all that you said, is why you are losing and will lose. Because you think these people care about money. That’s why they keep running over all of you. Budlight cost their parent company 350 million dollars, to prove that they are down with the agenda. Money is made up, these people don’t give a damn about money. Their success is measured by that poison they spread.

I’m gonna try one last time to explain this to you, this type of stuff happens all the time and it usually happens the same way. Microsoft and real player is a very good example. Microsoft shipped their operating system with Windows Media player, which they weren’t suppose to do. Real player in turn sued them for this because Microsoft monopolized the market when they shipped windows media player. By that time the damage was already done. Microsoft was directed to pay millions in damages to reach to reach player. Pfizer does this as well, many corporation sacrifice money in order to get their message across. It’s always been about market share/the message.

  4. If theres ever been a game that NEEDS to fail its this one, ALL male energy/writing/atmosphere/depth has been replaced with Modern POZ and surface level narrative/gameplay depth(like all modern slop)….If it doesnt Fail then pronouns/BDSM scars/ mental disease WILL BE REQUIRED(new standard) in all upcoming RPGs/narrative games…Instead of getting a new enemy type or environment those resources/time will go towards Gheying it up… Plz normies, dont, just DONT… sh*t there aint even any blood…..Dragon age staple( and not 1 review mentioned /smh)

  5. I've played this game for like 20 hours already and haven't encountered any woke bs other than the fact it lets you select a pronoun and gender for your character, which can simply be ignored as they have no impact on the game. I'm sure there's some woke bs buried in the game somewhere but people are way over exaggerating it.

    1. Honestly, I'd think Taash was the only companion and that they were permanently in the party the way people post about them.

    1. This shïte is not even an RPG.
If you can't play a psycho at your will, the game is linear, not RPG!
But that's too much for DEI hires to understand.
