Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood releases in 2021, will be exclusive to Epic Games Store

Nacon has just announced that Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will release in 2021. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also released the first gameplay trailer for it.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is the first action-RPG game adaptation of the role-playing game. Players will assume the role of Cahal; a banished werewolf, forced to return to the aid of his endangered clan. Players will master the devastating Rage within him to punish all those that would pollute, destroy, and corrupt Mother Earth, Gaïa.

The game was originally planned to come out in 2020. However, Nacon has delayed it until February 2021. Furthermore, this new game will be coming exclusively on the PC via Epic Games Store. My guess is that the game will come out on other digital stores (like Steam) one year after its EGS release.

Enjoy the following gameplay trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. Really i’m starting to think it’s not a coincidence that every sh*t game end up being Epic exclusive…

    1. It makes sense, if they were confident in their game, they would just put it on Steam for more sold copies

      1. True. Epic makes a deal with a Publisher up front that their game will make a certain amount of money or Epic will pay them the remainder of that money should the game flop. In exchange the Publisher makes the game an Epic exclusive for a certain amount of time.

It has nothing to do with trying to force Newell to lower the cut on Steam as Sweeney claimed the exclusives were for in the beginning. It has to do with building Epic’s digital service.

This type of thing only helps to ensure that more and more mediocre games come out. If a Publisher/Developer is guaranteed a certain level of success whether they make a 100% effort or not then it takes away some of the incentive to try their best.

  2. It looks like a 2008 game.

Which at this point isnt a bad thing per say, since modern games are trash. Also what is this swedish death metal? Hey if it has stealth and hack and slash id play it.

    1. Every era has it trash, late 2000 had a lot of bad games too, when every game wanted to be a cinematic COD/Gears clone with rechargeable health and poor level design

      1. Yea, but late 90s and early 2000s even the most mediocre sh*t was good
I’d play some King Kong Official Movie tie in before even touching the next Assassins Creed.

        1. King Kong was good even when it was released, it’s just sad that it was ported to PC by baboons and it’s nearly unplayable nowadays, anyway trash games always existed, don’t you remember Daikatana or Blood 2 from late 90s ??

          1. I love Blood 2 though, certainly has better aesthetics and gameplay than most modern FPS games.
Daikatana is pure trash though, I agree, same company gave us Deus Ex the same year though.

          2. Completely different ION Storm teams worked on Deus Ex and Daikatana though 😛

          3. Very true, but I was trying to illustrate how for every Daikatana we had a Deux Ex.

          4. Yeah but without Romero and with Spector as a director, the team was more focused, i have so much respect for Romero but he’s not good as a director.
As for Blood 2 it was a real downgrade over the first one which was just awesome, i remember constantly asking myself is it really the sequel ?!
Got it on GOG recently to give a second chance, i battled with it several hours to get it running correctly and i was surprised how it stayed so bad after all these years, but i agree for the aesthetics/atmosphere, even tho it’s a downgrade in this aspect too

          5. thats because the first blood was made by 3d realms and released by monolith.

          6. There was a studio funded by 3D realms who started developing Blood, but then it was bought by Monolith and they merged the teams and continued the development, 3D realms had a really minor implication on the game and they were busy with Shadow Warrior, it was then published by GT, just like the second one, the real issue is when they went full 3D with a very janky engine (Lithtech) and they also had a lot of problems with the publisher

          7. daikatana’s greece level and the medieval levels are pretty good the rest is trash.

        2. EXACTLY old games are better and more interesting than modern looter shooters, at least they are not another assasin cred or resident evil or cod, etc etc even mediocre movie games are better than current trash and to thank game development know is cheaper due to better technology, unity being free and steam.

          Talentless hacks.

          1. Yeah Man, Deftones is My favourite band. Been listening to Metal(all sorts) and hard rock forever, started with White Snake, AC DC, Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Motley Crue, Lizzy Borden, etc back in the day.

I saw Slipknot and Deftones together in concert it was freaking amazing easily one of the best days of My life second to building My 1st water cooled TR build and seeing 32 logical cores in Windows.

Of course I love Korn, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Static-X, Mudvayne, etc for that was My main era since I was born in 79 so I really got into it then(so yeah I love nu Metal from the 90’s).

Other than that I dig Katatonia, Slipknot, Pantera, Rammstein, Pallbearer, Alice In Chains, Novembers Doom, Scar Symmetry, Mastodon, Cavalera Conspiracy, Alien Weaponry and like a tone more. I like to listen to all sorts basically, My fav radio station is metalnation on the NET they play everything!

            Short answer m/ yes m/ 🙂

          2. Greta Music taste.

These are some of my most favorite METAL and Hard Rock bands, some are Melodic heavy/death/Black/thrash/gothic, and some pure death METAL.

This is just a tiny list of my collection. There are at least 5000-7000 more bands which I Listen to, and have them in my collection. Cannot list them here. But those are mostly underground EXTREME Black/death/thrash bands…

            This is classic Whitesnake

          3. Thanks! Right on, like wise you totally know the good stuff and sounds like 1000s more. Jesus Man you know that many different bands that is crazy, I know that was your work before(or still is part time) so it makes sense but that is really impressive.

Awesome list, I was just listening to Amon Amarth – across the rainbow bridge they are such a rad band. Yeah you can’t go wrong with Whitesnake if you want something mellow and old school, crazy they still make music. I still love Here I Go Again, it’s their November Rain(G ‘n R), both are so good.

            Cool, Man.

          4. David Coverdale of Whitesnake fame is one of the best known ROCK vocalists. Highly talented as well !!

Hey, I also listen soft rock and other classical instrumental Music…I like Eagles, Van halen, Dire straits, Pink Floyd, EUROPE, Poison, Motley crew, Guns N Roses, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe satriani, Winger, Cinderella, MR. Big etc.

  3. Really setting the bar high there, EGS. My god….. I can only ignore this turd so much, but it still won’t be the amount it deserves.

  4. Maybe I am on drugs or the odd Man out but I think this looks awesome and will be getting it for sure.

As a big Werewolf fan I need to have it, love to see there is a regular Wolf form as well. Heck I even like the trailer, that was solid.

    Very cool, sign Me up!
