Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake is coming to PC in Fall 2025

Nihon Falcom and GungHo have announced that their 3D remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, will come out on PC in Fall 2025. To celebrate this announcement, the teams have also shared a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.

In Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, players will follow the story of Estelle and Joshua, aspiring Bracers who aim to protect the world and its peace. As they start out as novice Bracers, the two travel around the Liberl Kingdom to solve various incidents and gain experience.

The devs have recreated everything in 3D for this remake. As such, players will be able to explore the world, with seamless transition between the overworld and towns.

According to the devs, the game will have two combat modes. The first one will be a real-time combat that will allow you to attack your enemies. The second will be a turn-based system, which will be flashier. The good news is that you will be able to switch between them whenever you want.

Nihon Falcom has also confirmed that the game will be available on PC via Steam. Right now, we don’t know whether it will be exclusive to it, or whether we’ll also see it on any other digital store.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

    1. Even though the modern games of this series are boring af, is just another reason to praise the remake of a game that is actually fun and engaging.

      1. Why would I praise a remake when the show is already ruined. The heartfelt purpose of this remake is simply to cash in on nostalgia and fake fans. I'm not going to reward laziness with my wallet.

        1. There is nothing lazy about a remake, and I am unsure what you mean by show. This game series existed long before any show, and this is one of the best entries in the series.

There is really nothing to complain about, as it will be far more interesting than any modern release of this series, which has turned into a life simulator with heavy text.
